Whats interesting is it has no problem firing up cold (well, it's summer, but after being parked for several hours i mean).. once it's warmed up though, it's hit or miss whether if will fire up and if it does, whether it will get to idle and stay there or not. Once it's running its usually ok but it will idle down to about 500rpm and i have to watch it really close. It's only stalled at a light once but once is plenty wben you dont know if its going to crank back up or not. Im sure its tuneable but i need a revision to try it. Still waiting for that though.

Mine has been long cranking since I got my first tune. If it sits for a few hours it is really long. Reminds me of not having a check valve in the system to keep the fuel rails pressurized. My Z06 does it now that there is a return style fuel system.

Interesting. I don't know enough about fuel systems and these causes, I just think it's interesting that on pump gas it was never an issue, on E85 it immediately became an issue.

Pump gas and E85 are quite different, as you know. Everyone I know that's run E85 has had cold start issues (if you call a few extra crank issues), or just starting in general...myself included. Doesn't really bother me. I certainly wouldn't want my tune dumping in a bunch of extra fuel just to start it.

But does your stall at idle when at a light or feel like it will? Or start when warm and then not have enough rpm to stay running? That's where I'm at.

Curious to know what kind of plug gap you are running with your setup. E85 is such a slow burning fuel maybe close the gap even further? What kind of idle rpm? Maybe a small bump in idle rpm could help?

0.028, was at 0.035 but was trying to see if it eliminated any timing retard isuues on pump had and gapped them down. No effect of course

Just talked to Hpp and it looks like I will be going the e85 route as well. I'll post up results when I get my car back but it's not going to be for another month.

Coming from a guy that runs a E85 "toy" car, that can see any temp here in Kansas ranging from -10 degrees to 110 degrees,
I can say that start up tuning on E85 takes time to get it right.
But once its done, its all good.

The older Ford ECU's made it a bit easier, but still very doable.

The car is basically adding cranking fuel the entire time its cranking, eventually it has enough to "light off" and fire. (Or it has to much, and it finally cleans up enough to light)

I think thats the normal, people will deal with the few extra cranks, for all the awesome benefits of what the fuel brings to the table.

Plug gap on E85 won't matter. Boost really is your dictator of the gap.
But unless your running 20+ psi, you should have no reason to go below a .30 gap.

Thats tuning, itll smooth out with revisions. Mine does an idle dip too. Brooks has been rather busy lately it seems.

It's all your fault he is busy!
I haven't gotten a revision since April 25. I sent him a new log on Sunday, still haven't gotten anything back.

Edit: Sorry, I did get a quick revision to shut off the IMRC's properly.

I meant, the success of your Procharger install has everyone going to him for tunes.

Ohh, lol. Well my tune is still far from done, let's put it this way. It was a waiting game on HPTuners to get the right parameters available. I'll bet some of you guys get yours finished before I do lol.

E85 fuel system arrived today. I have decided to take it to the shop to have it installed, don't even want to mess with it. Dropping car off Monday, will hopefully get it on the dyno to see what numbers are on 93.
