I don't disagree. But this is my third remote tuner and I gotta say, for now, it's completely unacceptable. I'm limiting my bashing until I hear something back from him, but I'm guessing I'll have E85 fuel pressure rail info at WOT logged for Lund before I hear back from him. If I can get all the data to Lund he might tune it as is. But maybe not, it's worth the $135 in parts to find out at this point. There's no doubt E85 is the most powerful and best way to go with these setups. I was just on MMR's site looking at billet pump gears and sprockets and saw it says we need to replace the secondary chain guides or they'll be cannibalized by the E85 and fail, causing chains to derail and grenade the motor. Also not good. Thinking between a complete engine replacement and just going back to pump gas and making less power with less timing sounds pretty good.

It's all good until it's not all good, then it's regret city lol
Just wanted to throw out a thank you to all the posters in here for stuffing this thread full of useful info, been following it since page 1.

Also want to give credit where it's due to gqneon. I went ahead and purchased the ebay inlet and the fit is EXCELLENT.

I'm doing a Procharger H.O. install in my build thread and gave you a shoutout.

Thanks!

Thanks man I'm glad it helped you out. I just listed my whole setup in classified just now to gauge interest, more details there, but that $16 elbow was an absolute perfect replaereplacementpart for the Procharger inlet. Easy on, easy off , perfect fit, no flex, no flattening, and I'm at 12-13 psi right now.

Bullet valve did not help with the surging. Got one more thing to try tomorrow. I will post up.
Sorry man. Like the sound or hate the sound of the bullet?

Not really much of a difference. I got the closed version which vents to the filter.

Did you run your surge valve ever on its own circuit from the back of the intake?

I have read on another board that getting it from the front of the TB on a shared circuit can cause these issues. I am going to pop the intake off and knock out that rear plug on the back and put the surge valve on a dedicated line from there.

What really is frustrating is PC isn't even trying to find out the issue or give suggestions.

This was the version I was thinking of trying, but I hadn't gotten around to it. I didn't knock out / drill out the vacuum tee on the back of the 11-14 manifold the couple times I installed it. I left it blocked. I was trying to troubleshoot one change at a time. Lund got real close to surgeless with his R5 version of my tune. I was really happy with it on pump gas, but my damn car just won't hold timing on it especially with increased boost. At least not consistently. With E85, I"m almost ALWAYS at -2 on the knock sensor and I saw 22 degrees tonight at 7200 rpm. That's all I was shooting for and I don't know why I couldn't get what "everyone else" appeared to be getting on pump gas.

The funny thing is, plenty of really fast cars around here use the same pump gas without issue. VERY few use E85. It's like some tree-hugger fuel to most people. I now see its awesomeness.

Plus it smells good when it's burning haha....

Hey guys, since you're all Procharger experts in here.

Did you install your coolant lines into the Procharger coolant reservoir with teflon tape? Or just torque em down real good metal to metal? Or some other way?

Hmmm. I used Teflon but have a little leaking at all 3 connections.

I did go light on the tape. Perhaps I'll try a bit more.

I used teflon in the beginning but they leaked. I took apart and used thread sealant. The big fitting still leaked so I had to take it off again and redo it. I got it as tight as I thought it should be and then wrenched it a complete turn more and it hasn't leaked since.

lol... a complete turn more!?!!? Wow... I'm not even sure I could take it a complete turn further. I'd probably have to put it in a vise.

I went Teflon tape, leaked, used pipe dope instead, leaked. Sent back to Teflon tape and went tighter than it seemed like I should, especially on the bottom one, no more leaks. There's no guidance for how tight they should be so I was going conservative, but they're coarse threaded so pretty tight. Mine still have thread showing on them visible, but I've seen at least one install online where they cranked them down almost flush. I'm somewhere in between where you were and a few turns shy of flush.

I wrenched mine down tight. I had to lay it on the ground and about stand on it in order for it to spin around one more full turn so the coolant hose wouldn't kink up.

Wow... ok. Looks like I need more torque. I felt like it was getting pretty tight, but then I only went "good n tight" and only as much as I could do while holding it.

Next question is... since you've all done this a time or 2. What's the best way to not make a mess?

I'd rather not drain all the fluid again. I was thinking about siphoning it out into a bucket and clamping and disconnecting the lines. That work?
