Procharger Install Prep...

So I have received most of the supporting parts to go with my Stage II P1-X kit, but waiting for the shipment from Procharger. Here is what I have so far:

- EB PP Center Gauge Set (installed this morning)
- Brisk Spark Plugs
- ID 1050X Injectors
- VMP Plug and Play BAP
- UPR Procharger catch can kit
- MMR Oil Pump Gears and Crank Sprocket
- Ford Performance gasket set for oil pump change

I will be having a local guy do the OPG/CS for me next weekend, but want to do anything I can now in order to get the Procharger on when it comes. it does not make sense to do the plugs and injectors seeing as the plugs have to come back out for the OPG install and the car will not run with the injectors to get it there.

Any harming installing the BAP now? I think it should run just fine with it installed and will save a little time later.

Updated: Decided to give the VMP BAP a try since it was so easy to do. took about 20 minutes and seems to work fine as is.

Installer recommend that I get the kit in case any of the stock gaskets was damaged or broken in the process. It was $70 from LMR. Cheap insurance I guess.

Not a bad idea. My car had ~13k miles on it when the Whipple went on. Bought a full gasket set. Used none of them.

You can put the plugs in. They don't come out for opg. And as others have said, don't need the gaskets. It would be difficult to mess them up, but since only $70, I'd tell him to put the new ones in since you already have them.

Just keep in mind the EB Boost Guage is only for show. It is wildly inaccurate just like the cluster gauge. It will read different fairly regularly and is typically much higher.

You can put the BAP on as long as you have a voltage switch (Hobbs switch) and you don't go WOT. You can put plugs in too but that's a 15 minute job max... the BAP it ~45 to donit cleanly. The PC kit ~8 hours for first timers. Some will say they did it faster others slower. Not sure your skill level so plan on 8.

IIRC those gaskets changed for 2015 and if you use the ones from that kit it will cause issues. As others said no gaskets are really needed, but good to have on hand.

You may also consider the ARP Balancer Bolt or the MMR Support Washer Kit (comes with bolt as well). The stocker is one time use.

It's just insane that it's so easy and I've never heard one person complain about the install. How far we've come!

I was driving a ProCharged S550 last night that made 780rwhp on 13psi.
It was an Auto car, and I flat out got out and said....

"yup, I am done driving... its trying to kill me"

So easy to blow the tires off at 70mph, yet so controllable.
I just couldn't control my urge to keep my foot off the "loud pedal" and giggling.

Plus 1 on the gasket change. The gaskets for the 2016 are MUCH taller than the ones I ordered. Not sure when they changed it, but I just reused the ones that were on there with no issues. They are SUPER thick. Not sure how you could actually damage one.
