Boy oh boy, those extra fees are mighty steep. Sucks to live in a socialist country. I guess that's what we have to look forward to some day in the good ol' USA.

Would importing it be cheaper? Maybe us in the USA can help out our Aussie friends?

I would cry if I had to pay those prices for a mustang! I paid 29k out the door for a ecoboost premium manual w/ navi and back up sensors w/ x-plan.

Ours are the equivalent of the premium models with performance pack and a couple of other things - not just a base spec.

Here in Japan, we are still stuck with only a 50 Year Ecoboost and that is marked at just un 39k USD. No word on GT or V6 even.

Thanks, but I like my steering wheel on the right.

Overall the feeling here is the prices are better than we expected and as good as we'd hoped.

Plus the guys that do the RHD conversions charge like a wounded bull for the work. I wouldn't be surprised if they start trying to flog off a GT350 for over 200K. Just look at Mustang Motorsport prices now - ridiculous.

So what's a 2014 GT worth now? 30, 40 grand?
I could be wrong, but wouldn't a 2014 wind up more expensive after getting a RHD conversion?

Import the GT350 :hail:
My dealership nearby has two allocations, if you want it let me know. I'm sure they will do MSRP, they're not thieves there.

Our government and RHD conversion companies sure as hell are!

We even get slugged a "Luxury Car Tax" (33%) over here for most vehicles with a purchase price of over $61,884 AUD. For fuel efficient vehicles, the threshold is a bit higher.

Fortunately, most of the 2015 Mustangs sold locally will come in under the threshold (the V8 Convertible being the exception).

The car will sell very well here. It's the first time that a factory built RHD Mustang will be made available at a much more affordable price than any prior imported & converted versions.

No I mean for someone locally who has already imported and converted a 2014 GT to RHD, what can they sell it for now when you can get a younger, NEW GT that is (arguably) better looking, is not second-hand, is RHD from the factory (not modified) and is 61k drive away.

Well when my fellow mustang owners bitch about Canadian cars being more money than in the US I'm going to point out it could have been worse--How does the Mustang price to other sporty cars in Australia?
