I recently bought a Shelby GT350 that came with dark-colored tail lights (see photos below), and it doesn't look like they have any film on them, looks like the plastic straight from the injection mold.
Were OEM dark-colored tail lights ever released from Ford?
One of the tail lights burnt out in the rain recently (it got foggy inside the casing), and my local dealership says that if the light is modified (f.e. darkened with aftermarket techniques) then it voids the warranty on the lights.
So I'm trying to determine if my lights are OEM colored, or aftermarket colored.
In the attached photos notice it does not appear to be peelable film, looks like solid plastic (or at least not obvious), and there's even a small ding on the plastic and it looks like deformed plastic.
I'll take more photos tomorrow in the daylight, it is evening right now so not as bright.
