I hope they keep the iconic taillights and headlights to match like they did with the s5550.also brembos front and back for the performance back level one.

The cooled seats are, in fact, cooled. They use a device called a "TED" (Thermo-Electric Device) which works based upon applying current to a different set of polarities. Applying current across one end of the device causes cooling; the other causes heating. Ford vehicles with heated/cooled seats have always used a TED for this purpose. The cars do not use a resistor grid of wires in the seats for heating, and usually the TED heated seats will not get as hot as the traditional wire grid method. I've had a number of Ford / Lincoln vehicles with this design, and none of them effectively cool the backrest, although all have made the seat base fell pretty cold.

As for oil pressure, its a calculated value. There's only a simple "yes/no" oil pressure switch on the engine. An algorithm taking coolant temperature and throttle input is what determines the readout or the "gauge" display.

Well, I’m an idiot and realized that what I want to a degree actually exists in the 301a group. There’s one with active exhaust near me I may go pick up.

Active exhaust is number 1 for me. Makes even the 2.3 sound rowdy, especially on cold starts, and is the one thing keeping me from buying a pre-facelift 5.0.

I'd say Sync 3 is also a must for a daily, I need some sort of navigation to find my way around in unfamiliar areas. The party trick sequential taillights are also a favorite lol.

Replace the vacuum gauge with an oil temperature gauge in the center cluster and struts under the hood. I'd like the option to get adaptive cruise, heads up display and more interior color choices.

IMO,

Instead of a Ford putting together parts bin and sticker package Mustangs with goofy ass names like “Stealth”, when it doesn’t even resemble anything stealth-like….

They should offer a true bare bones, VIN’d Body in White that has NO creature features. NO power windows, NO power locks, NO HVAC system, NO back seat, NO sound deadening, NO carpet (just a thin rubber matting), NO SYNC or associated body harnesses…. You get the idea - a total stripped, true light weight Mustang.

Right? I feel like most things should be an option. If I want the cloth seats with sync 3 with dual climate, active exhaust and digital dash only, let me order the fucking thing that way instead of paying for a bunch of crap I won’t need like a heated steering wheel. 😒

Ford needs to ditch the tiny 4" screen on the non-premium cars. Even the Ford Bronco gets an 8" screen on the lesser models, and a 12" screen on the upgraded models. That 4" screen is an embarrassment and shouldn't be in these cars.

The active exhaust should be standard. I know Ford loves to sell that 301A package for an extra $2000, but simply adding it to all cars would not cost them very much.

Drive modes should be standard on all Mustangs, and ditch the dumb one-way toggle switches.
I'm one of the few people who like the tiny screen. Less distracting, and I don't have to touch it for any reason so there's no fingerprints. I never understood what's "embarrassing" about it, as if anyone cares what size screen you have in your car, lol. Not only that, but there's zero chance of it becoming any more outdated than it already is. I can just slap my brand new phone on my proclip every year and have all the features from there, connected to the car over bluetooth or through USB. Just my 2 cents though.

I think these cars have pretty sensible option trims, and honestly you get a lot even in a base model. Not many base models have power seats both driver and passenger, motion sensing door handles for keyless entry (plus that nice infrared toggle to lock), autodim rear view, full LED lamps, line lock and launch control. All of that in a base model isn't common in the industry. You even get remote start standard on the automatic models.

It’s not just a touch screen for most. The people who get the sync 3 package also want dual climate which only comes with the sync 3 8” touchscreen. Or maybe someone just wants a more viable navigation option.

That's totally fair, I'm not saying I speak for everyone. I'm not married so something like dual climate zones have never mattered to me. As far as navigation, it is excellent having it built into the car, but the only way I'd want it is if it gives me turn by turn in the cluster. Doesn't 401A do that? Otherwise I'm fine saving a bunch of money and using my phone for navigation. My pro clip is mounted just to the right of my steering wheel, which means I don't have to look down and take my eyes off the road for a second to check my heading.

I just think the midget screen is better than people give it credit for. I mean it even reads the texts you get over voice, it's not completely ancient. At least on the 18 and up cars, I have no experience with the early S550's.

Sounds good, but the trouble is, if they did that, it would save perhaps three hundred pounds at best, and would cost at least ten thousand dollars more than the current top of the line. So who would buy it?

There's nothing wrong with that. I would have also taken the small one if I had been given a choice. I hate touch screens. Besides, I'm sure it works perfectly every time, as opposed to the buggy Sync 3 system, where every new update fixes one bug and brings two new ones.
The back-up camera is nice, though. And you can't have that without the big screen.

People get the back up camera on the smaller screen I believe.

So if you have built in navigation and you swap to the digital cluster on your own, you’ll have turn by turn on the cluster.

On my car you do get a backup camera with the tiny screen since it's mandated by US law, but it's just one notch above useless, especially at night. The resolution on the camera already isn't great, and that tiny screen makes it even worse. Only actual gripe I have about the small screen. But given I have rear parking sensors, it's manageable.

I remember when I bought my car I was all gung ho about doing a sync 3 swap ASAP, then after using the base screen I realized I didn't care enough.

Hell, if you wanted to add a touchscreen with better software and built in nav, you probably could vs the sync 3 unit for around the same price or maybe even a little less.
