Now I know that we don't know exact figures of performance in these 3 motors.but from rumors of what the horsepower will be. With the new irs and lower weight. What's your prediction in 0to60 times.

Ok from rumors of the 5.0 gt model having maybe 450hp and 400+torque. I say a awesome motortrend tester. Will hit a 3.8 to 4.0 manual and auto.

The v6 id say will have 325hp and 290 torque. I predict it to get a 4.9 to 5.2 manual auto.

Now the ecoboost turbo 4 all rumors show 350 hp and around the same in torque. Should hit a 60 in 4.4 to 4.7. Now the reason why I give it such a great number is because of all the available torque down low in the rpm range and it will have the lower weight then the other two. I would like to hear you opinions and predictions.

My friend, if the turbo 4 has those kind of numbers it's going to break a lot of hearts... And would make a hell of a great daily driver

I'm pretty sure the 5.0 will hit 60 in 3.7-3.8 seconds. Not sure about the V6, but it should be the same difference with the 5.0. I don't really care about a stupid EcoBoost in a Mustang and I hope it doesn't reach the U.S. market.

I HIGHLY doubt that the GT will hit sixty in less than four seconds.

The new stingray hits 60 in 3.7 secs with 450 hp. So its very possible the gt can to

Nice hate. To put it simply, don't like it? Don't buy it.

The Stingray has yet to be tested faster than 3.9 and was never quoted or claimed at 3.7 seconds.
Exactly, so my point lies in here. Why would a heavier, slightly less powerful car attain the same time?

So a 2011 gt from motortrend can hit a 4.3 sec 0to60 with 412 hp. With more wieght and a live rear axle. And it cant pick up .6 of a sec with more power less wieght and a independent rear suspension. Im sorry but its very possible especially if ford can put wider tires in the back now.

0-60 times don't mean much to me--I mean honestly 4.3, 3.7-its a blink of an eye. I want 1/4 mile times and et. Its the first thing I check in a magazine auto test.

It all depends on gearing and how the power is put to the ground. Case in point, the Nissan GT-R weighs in at 3900 lbs., is 545 hp and will run to 60 in 2.7 seconds.

Granted that is a $100k car with a bunch of driver aids, however, when talking 0-60 times, it runs up to sixty 8/10 of a second faster than the 2013 GT500 which has 120 more hp, and weighs the same.

Surely with a vastly superior suspension to the current car, less weight, wider tires, and likely more HP, the Mustang can shave a half of a second. I doubt it will, but it is not outside of the realm of possibility.

IRS not necessary faster
GT historically gets lower quality tires than the svt versions,
All the points about it being possible are true, but it will not happen it will be over 4 sec

Live axles actually help the car launch better, not hinder it.
