For like $5 you can run the vin and get the original window sticker. If the dealer doesn't offer it, I do that before every purchase.

Love my PP2! Wouldn't trade it for anything, maybe not even GT500. Handles absolutely flat even a 1G. Super brakes. Anything less is a secretary car.
Beautiful car, lines are IMO much better than the catfish look. OP check the vin that will tell you all.
Otherwise, it's a want-to-be.

All signs point to yes on this being a PP2. I completely agree that the salesman wouldn't know. When I found my PP2 at Carmax they had ABSOLUTELY no idea what they had. The rear spoiler is PP2 specific along with the wheels and front splitter. The car is a legit race car that handles everyday life very well! Especially if you don't mind rowing gears.

I did a bunch of research into spotting a PP1 + magna and PP2 based on looks and common online photos. While it is best to run the VIN for a window sticker, a close second is checking the driver door VIN code. If the VIN has a SPR (spring code) of VVNV then its almost certainly PP2. PP1 with magnaride have a SPR code of ZZ9U. PP1 have a SPR of JJHH.
A VIN code of VVNV combined with the rims ✅, additional front splitter ✅, rear spoiler ✅ would be pretty much 100% without the window sticker. But if you are going to drop $45k get the sticker.

For the record, I also love my PP2. I think I saw that only 5% of mustangs were PP2.

Same. Vroom had my loaded PP2 with 8k mi listed for less than some PP1 cars with more mileage 🙃

Recaro’s are not PP2 specific so that doesn’t matter. It could be a customer car and not for sale or a car that was just sold. Why not just ask the dealer?
Ditto on your remark! I had the pleasure of owning a PP2 that was nothing but an entry-level GT with the PP2 package being the only option.... huge bang for the buck!

Unless you trade it in for a GT350?? 🤨

My opinion, not enough of an upgrade for the $...
I was extremely blessed in finding one that sat on the lot for almost a year. I was able to purchase it $15k below sticker around the start of the pandemic.

The PP2 is an excellent car but the driving experience is a difference between night and day!I never had so much fun driving a car, even on slow twisties. It is my dream car that has exceeded any expectations that I had, and being offered at the price of a premium GT PP2, it was a no brainer to go for the upgrade.

Agreed I’d prefer a Mach 1 with all the upgrades for a discount. At least it has the engine that won’t kill it self.

Easiest way to confirm it's a PP2 is to check the tire sticker. PP2 is 305/30r19 squared and the only Mustang to come that way.

This. Here's my door tag.

What about the CF dash trim? Is that PP2-only?

I wanted this trim after seeing the posted numbers (plus didn't want to hassle any Shelby's potential engine issues):

Yep the 305/30R19 are another clue. It’s really hard to read those numbers on the sticker online sometimes though. I found the spring code was easier, if the listing even includes the VIN sticker
