congrats. looks good.

just out of curiosity, are your wheels:
Front: 19" x 10.5" ET 24
Rear: 19" x 11" ET48?

I have a PP2 and this is what is stock on the car. Somewhere you indicated you might be putting 19" x 11" all around which I wasn't sure if they all had the same offset and how you were dealing with it in the front since the offset is half the rear on the PP2 (number after the 'ET'). Thi9s number is often embossed into the metal on the backside of the wheel.

Also, I put Michelin PS4S 305/30R19 on mine. and the tires look square ovr the wheels. They also have some built into the tire flaring to protect the wheels from curb rash.

Do your tires sit square over the rim or are the set back? When I mounted 275/35R19 winter tires, temporarily, on the stock rims they had a slight lean inwards from the rims. this was the smallest tire the rears could take. Smaller is better for winter. Now I have a set of 19x9.5 (with appropriate offset front and back) for those tires and they look much better. Also noticed a slight handling difference between the two mountings. The narrower wheel handled slightly worse but less twitchy.

I have the stock PP2 wheels and just replaced the cup 2's with pilot sport 4S in 295x35r19. I really like the higher sidewall which helps fill up the wheel/fender gap a bit. Not planning on lowering it. Plus it rides smoother and way less road noise after switching to the 4S's. I also wanted a bit less tire poke to help keep my paint looking good. The 295's do look slightly strectched a little bit in the rears. Looks ok to me if you want a square tire set up, if not then I'd go 305 in the rear.

I have a factory PP2 and the only poke is in the front slightly. The rear with the 48 offset tuck in square with the quarters flush with the top of the well. That is also why the Mach 1 only has those plastic pieces on the front tires in the HP setup. They are using , basically, the PP2 setup with some adjustment parts from the GT350/500. In fact, they made a mistake with my PP2 car and put a 19x10.5 ET 24 on one of the rears and it stuck out far more than the 19x11 ET 48 did. It was over an inch out. Offset makes a huge difference.

Hi, can you please share the offset that you are using on your 19x9.5 wheels?

I am picking up a 2020 GT PP2 tomorrow and I need a winter setup ASAP. I'd like to go to a 19x8.5 or 19x9 with 245/40 square set up for the winter but I am not clear on what offset that I need and not sure about which wheels will clear the brakes.

Considering these: https://www.americanmuscle.com/gt350-charcoal-19x85-0514.html

I got a set of VMR V710 and a set of 275/35R19 Blizzak LM-32 only because they fit the OEM rims too. They looked narrow on the EOM wheels but worked. They look much better on the V710. I think I would prefer a 245 or 255 in the future which the 9.5 wide wheels can take for winter driving. I think they performed well in the 3-5 inches of snow that we had.

I ordered 19X9.5 ET22 for the front and 19X9.5 ET45 for the rear. 60 deg seats lugs set at 5 x 114,3 a part

I would order the narrower Gorilla lug nuts(41148HT) since the stock, although do fit, are very tight with only 1 mm at most space. I also use protector lug nut sockets to remove them.

Full details and photos of the rims are in this thread.

I went cheap on the wheels but they look good. They do make the same ones forged or in a lighter version.

the nice thing about the 275/35R19 is that it is just a little larger in diameter giving you just a smidge more ground clearance which is desired in winter. It is still within the 3% circumference of the original so the speedo will be off but not by much.

Use a tire calc like http://www.tire-size-calculator.info/

To compare offset, tire size, etc.

As for my summer tires, I put PS4S 305/30R19 on my PP2 OEM wheels. Next to no tramlining unless there is severe road cracks. Drove it on several 4 hour + trips with much enjoyment and little fatigue.

I especially like them because they have built in road rash prevention built into the tire. the tire overhangs or sticks out a bit beyond the edge of the rim so the tire takes the hit instead of your wheels.

Hi all

I am looking at buying a PP2 but the poke of the front wheel/tire and the front and rear gap bothers me. I have no plans of lowering the car. From reading this thread I am thinking about 295x35x19 or 285x35x19 in the front and 305x35x19 in the rear. I do not want to have any rubbing issues as I plan to take the car to the track a few times per summer. Any thoughts on how this will reduce the front tire poke and the overall gap? Any pics of a similar set-up is much appreciated.

I did pilot 4S in 295x35r19 on all 4 wheels. When its time for new tires, I'll go 305's in the back. I like the 295's up front but feel like the rears need 305's. The 35's fill up the gap well.

Did you have any rubbing in the front? Can you share picks of your setup? I’m thinking about 285/35’s up front and 305x35’s in the back

Zero rubbing. A 285 may stretch on the front wheels like my rears. You can see the 295's are a bit stretched on the larger rear wheels. I'd definitely go 305's in back. I think the 295's are perfect up front, almost perfectly flush with very little if any poke.

I am running 295/35r19's on all four corners also. Have been running this setup for about 1,100 miles, zero issues. Although I think I will soon be going to a square setup of 305/35r19's on all corners with 19x11, 50 offset wheels and 20mm spacers on the front. Still feel I will have no fitment issues, but will be running a bit less offset on the front, so tire will be tucked in some.

I run 305/35/19s on all 4 and have no issues with them. They also closed up that gap some. I didn't want to lower mine either. I would think 295s on the front would be as small as I'd go with those 10.5 wide wheels. Maybe someone more versed in tires will chime in. I've had no rubbing issues. Although I did hit some rough road during hard cornering and got a very slight touch just on the outside edge of the tire on the fender lip. Just that one time though. Good luck with your car.

305 / 35 Rears and 295 / 35 Fronts. Stock ride hide and just a 350 spoiler. Love the stance this combo created.
