18" wheel tire sizes?

For any of you running aftermarket 18"s, what tire size have you gone with? I am looking at some 18x9 and am thinking 265s. based on the stock diameter being in the 27.18 range I would have to jump to a 265/45 at 27.39" diameter, a non common size....... would rather have a 35 or forty but those tires are short.

Currently running APEX 18" x 9". Wanted to use up the tread life of the factory tires. Goodyear 235/50-18. Will be swapping the tires later to 255/45-18 BFg' sport comp 2's.

staying tune to this thread, not trying to steal the light of it, but I'm trying to see what tire sizes fit 18 inch wheels. specifically 18x8 if anyone knows the max tire width thanks

You can fit a 255/45/18 on an 18x8. It's the maximum recommended tire width for that wheel width. There will be some bulge.

Most I have done is a 295/35/18 or 305/35/18
