I'd have a hard time deciding between premium and PP. I honestly think premium knocks it into a category way higher than it belongs (or at least feels). I sat in it and was as impressed, if not more so than my BMW (and it is cheaper).

That being said, when I pushed it on the curves I really wondered if the PP would keep it more on rails.
If $ is a factor and you like the options and buttons you're best to go premium over performance package. You can put a really nice suspension set up on for around $1200/1500. Suspension is an easy mod, Putting in heat and cooled seats navigation and such not so easy or cheap.

Definitely considered doing springs by myself.

This is another reason why I've been considering the EB. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to drive one to really tell.

Also worried the GT might get me into some trouble. I've heard some people say the EB is anemic and disappears a bit. *Shrugs*

Really waiting another month before I consider anything. Especially with the new job, and hopefully settlement ending soon.

Didn't read everyone's responses, just posting my own reasoning.

I DID NOT get the Performance Pack for two reasons. I wanted a spare tire. I daily drive my car to work or off to he beach.. I'm old school and change my spare on the side of the road if need be. I'm not content waiting on a roadside wrecker to tow me to a tire store.

Second, I don't like black wheels.

I'm very happy with my decision, especially after a set of Steeda Progressives.
Is it worth it? For the value of what you get, hell yes! Just make sure you can live with the gearing and no spare tire.
1.) Buy you a spare all they do is remove the spare tire guy.
2.) You can get the PP Rims in Black or silver ( ask me how I know)

The aftermarket stuff is alot better then the pp, i see alot of pp guys doing upgrades. The one complaint they have is the pp is its to bouncy. Lets face it other then the gt-350 the factory can only do so much when it comes to handling. My friends at steeda are taking care of me with pro action adj. shocks and struts, steeda sport springs, steeda cc plates, steeda stop the hop kit ... All for about $2200.00. The sway bar set will come later its about $500.

So now you're at $2700, and still no Torsen, oversized radiator, and lack the Brembo 6 pots. This is exactly the point, the pro-PP guys are making. Yeah, you might still want to upgrade, but for the price, there isn't anything that beats it, and is a great jumping off point for upgrades.

Ford is bound by budget concerns. Ford engineers can design the GT to have MagneRide and 475hp stock, but the bean counters will make them nerf the engine and put in ordinary suspension if they think it costs too much. That's what Ford Racing is for--they can make a lot of really great stuff that doesn't get put on the Mustang. The FRPP Track Handling Package, for example, was supposedly what Ford engineers wanted the Performance Pack to be, but they replaced it with the hoppy suspension we have now because the Track Pack would have driven up the price per unit too much.

Dont need torsen they are weak at the drag strip, mostly for road racing! Dont need 6piston breaks they have heavy rotors 4 piston 14" rotors are enough. Bigger radiator blah doesnt make that much difference. My car is an auto so aftermarket is a must. Pp doesnt do anything for wheel hop! My car is going to be a 500+ rwhp na car.

The list of additional options it adds has been posted several times on here. It's definitely worth it as long as you are paying UNDER MSRP.

I think the PP is worth it, but that's not saying it's necessary. I'll be going base GT to get into the car for as little $ as possible and do the upgrades slowly along the way. Dealers have been offering some great deals on base 6MT GTs and I really don't want to pass that up. Keeps my monthly payments down and I can pick what I want from the aftermarket. I'll never track the car and I can live without the Torsen rear.

But that's what works for me. YMMV. But as someone who is still shopping, I think the PP is a great deal for what you get if that fits your budget. I flirt with just saving a bit more to get a PP one, but I've already kind of planned out my mods.

pp is a good platform to start from and if it came on the auto cars i still wouldn't get it because i know i exactly what i want my car to do in the handling Dept. I've had 3 previous modded mustangs.

My GT PP, Premium now has Eibach suspension with Cup 2 tires. No floating on the track. Registers 1.28 g turns easy enough. Big fat wide tires. YeeHaa.

Like you said how come its not available W/an Auto. The 2014 V6 Base was available W/ an Auto and P/P pkg. I bet they loose sales that way by not offering it. I live in So Calif and Drive over 200 miles a day and a Auto is a must. Hope Ford see's this.

As if handling a stick is a requirement for wanting good performance out of your car. Transmission elitism is the domain of ignorant fools.
