pp wheel chipped while washing!!

Yes, it's a third party not Ford. Do you have a copy of the contract you signed? The one for the tire and wheel protection? Read it and follow the instructions for filing a claim. The dealership probably tried to file a warranty claim with Ford and that's not the same thing.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I had this happen too. I am the only driver of my car since I bought it, and I have never even came close to a curb or had a flat. There is no scuffs or damage to the tire. I brought it to my dealer, and they claim ford rejected repair/replacement. The then suggested I buy a replacement wheel for over $1200. Ford racing MSRP on this wheel is $400ish. What gives?!? I feel that before I washed the wheel adn it chipped, there is no practical way I could have seen this damage. Anybody been able to get this resolved?

First picture shows the chip. Second shows the damage that is around about 270 degrees of the wheel.
