Wondering if any of you guys have experienced this issue. After about 15 minutes of driving(I always use comfort mode) the steering seems to drag or have decent resistance. It doesn't return to center naturally but instead wants to hold its position. It doesn't lock down but you have to basically pull it back to center. It feels perfectly fine until some heat builds up and then this begins to happen. Anyone experience this? Its not a huge deal but it does kinda take some of the fun out of driving it because the steering feel becomes wonky.

Edit: I did see that there was a software update available and I may have to try that first but one would think that that would be a consistent problem and not one that shows up after its hot.

after driving the 2015 for 2 years. I felt the same as you with my 18. I havent noticed if there is relation with heat.

I mentioned that sw to the dealer last time I was there. but they said they dont anything on their system.

Thank you for chiming in. I did read that post and that is the software update that I mentioned in my edit. I just wasnt sure that that would apply because mine seems perfectly fine for the first 15 or so minutes of driving. It seems it becomes a problem with heat.....or at least usage. My thought was that if it was a software update problem, it would be present all the time....not just after 15 minutes of usage. Does that make sense?

My 16 did this. It would hold left hand turns with the wheel just off center. Like about as far as you'd turn the wheel to change lanes. I had it in for that several times, and the dealer claimed they could never reproduce it. There is a thread on the corral about it, and someone there with the same problem I had. That person ended up with a new rack, and that solved their issue.

Since it's electrically assisted, heat makes sense. It's possible it malfunctions once it's warm. I never made that connection with mine, but it's possible. My 18 is fine.

Thanks for the heads up. Is it in the S550 section? Due to the nature of the problem it would be helpful to have another case to reference.

Edit: Think I found it.
