I am unable to find PP models with any substantial discounts but I am finding base GT manuals around in the $29k-30k range. So the $2400 price for the PP that's such a bargain is now an $8k+ price difference when comparing what I can get off the lot.
I'm not crazy about the wheels on the PP, and I'm concerned about the gearing on the PP when I'm on the highway as I travel frequently between Dallas and Shreveport/Texarkana.
I'm considering picking up one of the sub-$30k base/manual GTs and having the dealer install some FRP parts at delivery such as springs and maybe an exhaust, then pick up some wheels I like later.
Should I just tough it out another couple months until I can get a slightly used PP/manual GT in the low $30k range or is my logic sound?
And how bad of a hit does the highway cruising/mpg take with the diff on the PP cars?
