I regularly see 28+ mpg on all highway trips at 75 mph cruise. Yesterday it touched 30.0 (indicated) before I had to turn off. GT with 3.31 axle. I'd expect 26ish for a PP GT.
I say you might be seeing it but you are not getting it! Calculate by hand a few tank fulls. My Mustang GT overstates an average of 1.1 MPG per tank full. My 2015 Ford Escape overstates 2.2MPG per tank full. The MKZ overstates 1.7 MPG per tank full. These are all average's over several thousand miles.
Everybody I know that has calculated their mileage compared to the computer has come up with a lower average.
My C6 Corvette was off by 1.7 mpg over a 7200 mile span.

I do that every tank and it's between 0.7-1.1 mpg off from the trip computer. Actual FE from long highway trips has ranged from 27.5-28.8 mpg.

Seeing as I am averaging 2000+ miles a month this could be an issue. Right now my employer pays 17c a mile and based on gas prices (93) and 18mpg I am seeing for most GT that means the 17c a mile won't cover my gas...I will be paying 3c a mile minimum out of pocket while working. Not a lot but still money long term
Your employer is ripping you off. The IRS sets standard milage rates, currently at 57.5 cents. I don't think there is anything forcing your employer to use that rate, but a lot of companies do.

You can get some of that that money back by deducting the difference on your taxes though.

Seriously?

I must be really getting screwed, my employer only pays me $0.00 cents per mile............Maybe I'm missing something here.

You can only expect to be reimbursed or take the deduction if you are operating the car for business. Commuting to/from work doesn't count.

I feel like when I first got the car it wasn't that good on gas, but after learning to drive the car with its yacht size motor and after the first oil change its actually just as good as my previous 2 liter vw gti

Torque sure is nice if you know how to use it.

Just drove from LA to Vegas and back this weekend. 26mpg on the freeway.

Before I was seeing 17-18 driving around town. This is a V6... Not had a first oil change yet.. Hoping these numbers go up 1400 miles on car now.

3.15 gear

I clearly do too much city driving. I average an indicated 13MPG quite regularly lol.

Friend of mine rented a V6 for a weekend trip. At interstate speeds of 75-80 set on cruise, he said he couldn't get more than the 26 you're reporting. That car had a decent number of miles on it too.

14.7 average. She's only a weekend car, though, so any driving is fun driving for the most part, lol

San Francisco up 101 to 128, Fort Bragg. Hwy 1 up to 101 all the way up the Oregon coast to Seaside. Then to Portland and back down 5. Lots of twists and turns on the way up. Cruise control most of the way down. Wife, dog, luggage in ecoboost convertable premuim. 1488 total miles, 31 hours car time, 29.4 mpg.

By the way, the adaptive cruise control is really cool. It was the first time I got to use it. Car was a dream. Would never consider anything but the premium anymore. Can't believe I ever considered anything else.

Correct...well sort of. I work from home so if I have to go into the office I log that mileage also:) But normally I do 2000+ miles a month. Just finished Aug report and it was 2166 miles and $59 in tolls.
