Beats me! Before I filled up the DTE combined with the miles I'd traveled on that tank equaled around 390 miles -- this was pretty consistent during this tank, and I averaged 26+ mpg with 2/3 city, 1/3 highway during that tank. After filling up it read 409 miles to empty. How the heck do you get that, owning a 6 for four years the most I've seen is 370 on mine most I drove was prob 330-340...do you only drive long highway trips at 55mph?
Trust me, if Ford hadn't killed off the Power Pack option I may have gone with the V6. In my mind, the four is more of a stigma: I was around for the 4-banger SVO turbos. The last-gen PowerPack 6 for only $25,000 was the ultimate sleeper: faster and handled better than any other car at the same price point, and good on gas too.We had it in the V6 section. Most people don't visit that because of the stigma. That's why we moved it to the main section.
2015 Mustang V6 manual transmission, right? If so you must be the first member to get a manual v6?Slow driving at 70 mph on the interstate. This is best I could do in a V6 with 3:15 gears, manual transmission.
Jeez....11.9. You'll be filling up like 2-3 times a week lolI have the 2015 5.0 GT v8 (6MT) -- 11.9 MPG. Only used 87 octane so far. Mostly city driving, and a good amount in traffic as I'm from Los Angeles...
Ouch! What's your driving style? Quick launches out of the hole (mine), slow and easy (I'll force myself), what? I'll be a V8 manual, too, so I need to know what works. I'd also planned on regular all the time, but if premium is more cost-effective for $$$ per mpg, I'll use it.I have the 2015 5.0 GT v8 (6MT) -- 11.9 MPG. Only used 87 octane so far. Ive never filled my 6 for more than 14 gallons even when I took the range all the way down, maybe they include that extra gallon and half in the range this time? I average 25 and it'll say 380..my last tank I averaged 24 the fuel light came on and I filled it up at 310miles, it only took 13.1 gallons to fillBeats me! This could've been based on the fact that the last 90 miles or so included about 60 highway miles which may have skewed the miles to empty up a bit. But averaging 26 mpg x 15.5 tank equals a range of 403 miles.
Looks like zackmd1 is getting similar range.
BTW, what does FML mean?
so your basically saying you really put your foot in it too much?Katie...
...I drive fairly moderately, don't really put my foot in it too much.
Robinson02, do you run regular 87 octane, premium 91 octane, or premium 93 octane? My GT 6-speed will have the same standard rear as yours when it arrives (12 days, hopefully) and I'm trying to figure out if my mpg's going to take a hit if I try to run it on regular.regular gearing, GT prem, manual, 22 combined/29hwy

The tests by the EPA all ran 87 octane. Octane as far as I know does not affect MPG but affects HP/Torque. It's why there is an * next to the EB engine with a (requires 93 to get the HP/Torque).Robinson02, do you run regular 87 octane, premium 91 octane, or premium 93 octane? Nice. So that's a GT with 3.15's correct (just making sure). That sounds like what I was expecting.regular gearing, GT prem, manual, 22 combined/29hwy
