I was looking at this thread a coupe weeks ago and people were posting crazy number (high). The last three pages I looked about what I expected!

Anyone concerned about MPG with gas selling at almost decade lows of $1.64 has no business owning a Mustang. I find this thread a total joke and the people talking about their mileage is like listening fat people talking about the low calorie milk shakes and donuts they buy.

2015 GT Premium Performance Pack 401A. Little over 11k miles. Average mpg for the life of the car is 19.9mpg. I don't baby it or anything. I have noticed that when I keep the car in normal I get a couple higher mpg out of a tank then when I have it constantly in sport. Think the more aggressive throttle mapping makes it quite a bit easier to get up in Rpms without realizing it.

If I drive normally without flooring it here and there for fun with a mix of city/hwy driving I get about 22mpg out of a tank.

I was getting 18.8 quite a bit then I got the axlebacks. I lost about 1 mpg, almost surely due to driving habits :D

 What, do you ever shift out of 1st?
What is "shift" I've never heard this word :D

Was after a couple of sessions at Barber. The next few tanks the computer gives me the low fuel/50 miles to empty warning with over 1/2 tank left on the gauge

Everyone always pays less and gets better mileage than me, despite buying at Ford employee price and setting the cruse at the post speed limit on the highway.

You've got it! #1 The computer is very optimistic and when I calculate it is .9 to 1.3 MPG lower. #2 Without manual calculating you'll never know if the Computer is even in the ball park. My SUV is close to 2 MPG higher than actual.
#3 Since way back when some people love to exaggerate their fuel mileage.

What are you talking about man! I have a GT convertible, and I get 34MPG highway all day.*

* All day = for 20 seconds while coasting downhill in neutral

Update here. I am still averaging right around 20MPG hand calculated. I do punch the car from time to time so I am pleased with the overall MPG of this car. My truck with the 5.0 doesn't tolerate any full throttle fun without penalizing me on MPG.
