Possibly totaled ?????

So I got rear ended yesterday by a lady not paying any attention doing about 40ish .... bumper is trashed exhaust jammed all up and noticed that she actually went under my passenger rear and hit the subframe where the lower control arm is and bent it.... my question is how much is to much really cosmetic can be fixed the suspension is questionable on

if repairs cost more than the value of the car, yes totaled...

In all actuality I dont think the insurance companies use the cars value but a percentage of the cars value.

No way that will be totaled. Sure it is a few thousand in repairs but nothing even close to the value of the car. They will fix it. Be sure to find a good shop.

Depends on the damage. The rear suspension subframe comes off so as long as the subframe mounts are still good.

It is a base model V6 which averages around the $13k mark in value. In Va 75% or greater totals the vehicle. So if there is about $10k worth of damage then it will be totaled. From what we can see in the pictures, I doubt it is totaled. However, if there is more extensive damage such as a buckled quarter panel, bent frame rails, then it is possible.

Yeah I don't think it's totaled but the pics don't show nearly any of the damage underneath and you can't really tell how much the passenger side control arm is torqued downward and part of the subframe is pushed forward in the pics not to mention all the shattered pieces behind the bumper ..... the suspension is what has me worried as far as how much damage there really is and if it's fixable will it ever really be right again

Not totaled...not even close

I had a 2008 G37S that was rear ended in the summer time. Rear bumper was trashed, my exhaust was bent up like yours and both my rear quarter panels had rippled due to the impact. As well as all the crash beams in the bumper needed replaced.

All in all it was around 5k to repair and that was at an expensive infiniti body shop.

When in doubt it's probably not.
