So after fighting a long week with the flu i was finally able to install my new intake manifolds and it took about 2 hours and the installation went quick and easy but the only problem (i'm not sure if it is a big problem tho) is my mechanic said he didn't need a torque wrench and continued to bolt everything with his electric wrench. He has 30 years + experience, packed everyday, and he's like family so he did his best. I didn't question him. It honestly feels like a different car now, the low end gives you that push in the seats and it holds you there. I don't know why the top end feeled weak to me but it's great now, i usually would start accelerating faster than my friend but he would catch up, now he isn't catching up so easily. The torque increase throughout the powerband is greatly noticeable. It just wants to leep forward. Another thing i noticed is that the intake manifolds are drenched in oil, i've only driven 800 miles, i even installed a catch can around 500 miles and it still had quite a bit collected in the can. I would definetly get this mod if you want a new feeling to your top end and i installed the K&N air filter and modified the airbox for more airflow.

Installation= zero
Ported lower + upper+ air filter= 700 something but if you send the parts back it dropped my price to 530.

Great news. Could you be more specific with the torque curve? With headers and axelback, i still peak torque at around 4000 rpm. Where would you place peak torque with the ported intake?

Before i added it i felt the torque really kicked in at 4k, like you, but now it really pics up and you feel an increasing torque till the end cause im still being pushed back into my seat i just haven't driven it enough to say when the peak torque kicked in. When i do a little more i will deffinetly hit you up. It's just a different feeling, i didn't expect it to change so much but when i gas it when im cruising it actually gets going unlike before when the car would just tilt its hood up and sorta sound louder and start accelerating at 4k. I don't know if im lieing to myself like a placebo effect or if the torque really did increase a whole lot more.

I think I might go to harbor freight and get a torque wrench to tighten them to 87 inch pounds just to be safe.

LuckyMe you should do a 0-60 so we can see what gains we will get from these.

It only lets me use it in residential areas, OHH the irony, and I live in Los angeles. I'll try but it's pretty tuff, I guess I might go find a straight near a backroad.. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, it's a weird system for me and I don't know why...

Oh okay gotcha. Can you tell a big difference with them on or just a little bit of a difference?

I remember seeing a thread a while ago where someone ported the manifolds on a 11 or 12, I think they said there was a 9hp peak gain but that was with a different tune and a different TB. Should be good for a couple of HP at the very least throughout the curve.
