How fundamental is reading?
Just try and stop responding to him. He is going to have an issue and come here for help someday only to get treated like MCarsfan.

Hey guys this wasn't meant to be another thread to argue in (maybe that was wishful thinking on my part). Can we just keep the posts to what you voted and why?

Brand damage for sure however there are proven fixes I could install this weekend and my Tech is just as good as any track or '17 (non-R). I am as frustrated as the rest with Fords lack of professionalism and transparency regarding our coolers but in no way is my GT350 a throw away car. For me, I can wait out my warranty period and see what Ford may offer by December 30, 2018.
for a truly collectable car badge, non OEM is going to hurt resell. Dont forget, may not be an issue but when you do try and offload folks with mods may have a surprise waiting for them. Even if said mods were to rectify engineering flaws.

Applying hind-sight on my purchase . . . I would not change a thing.
Do I wish I waited until the 2017 model year? . . . Not at all, I got a lot of miles on my car that I would have missed.!
I will make my Tech Pack into a great track car.

my magnetic tech pack is fine am i going to go to a track and flog my car for 20 minutes till it goes into limp mode? NO, but i feel sorry for the guys that want to and bought the tech. the track pack should have been an option on top of the tech. personally i would rather have the comfortable seats and nav. i also have not had a single problem with this car even when driving very sprited in 90-95 degree weather, so there dosent seem to be a cooling problem till extended high rpm use.

Appreciate and respect your views Superman.

For me, my GT350 is the end game. I'm not selling anytime soon and certainly not gonna play the reduced trade in value and then MSRP + possible ADM w another Ford product. Not after all the BS w the Tech...

I really like my GT350 with relatively low, three digit chassis number. I know how it handles with the driving I do. I've learned a bunch about it's pros and cons and know I can fix the cooling issues w OEM parts. My estate will bear the brunt of any consequences after I am gone.

By the way, most of what I learned came from members on this forum!! Thanks folks

I voted to buy a 16 350 track car. Which I did.....used with 1000 miles and the color I wanted. Had to wait 3 months..... but one finally came on the local market and below MSRP of course. So far so good and could not be happier. The 16 tech car I sold was purchased for a little under MSRP and sold for the same. I'll be honest..... luck and timing had a lot to do with this outcome. This forum helped me a great deal also. The information was priceless and the majority of people on this forum are very helpful. Thanks

I voted hold out for the 17 just for the peace of mind of not going limp on the street. I've had 0 issues except for 1 uneven gap between the rear bumper and fender. i think the paint on mine is really nice, better than that on my wifes glk350, liberty or srt8 jeep (worst factory piant I've ever seen) I bought the car more as a dd and maybe the occasional trip to the drag strip. I do feel bad for those that have went limp on the street, absolutely unacceptable for a car that most of us guys in canada paid $87-100k cdn (non-r's) after taxes for.

I would have liked a 17 but I wasn't going to risk losing my good trade offer on my 13 Boss 302 with 33K miles and an MSRP deal on the 16. The dealer I bought from confirmed they wouldn't do the deal on a 17, at least not for several months. I liked the Yellow a lot so I made the deal. I don't track although I'd love too. I work too much and that's an expensive hobby. My wife supports my car passion but even she has her limits. I love driving my car and I only wish I had the Recaros. As long as I have no issues with spirited driving every once in a while I'm happy with my purchase.

I voted for option 2, on a side note I ran at the Glen in early summer in run group 3 (Expert).......I did not have any limp issues, oil temp reached 270 a few times, also both sessions I ran were stopped for on track issues so did not run the full 18/20 minutes. For other reasons I was not able to finish the track day so my results were inconclusive. There was one other tech car there in a novice group, his car was fine .

Purchased my Tech 16' December 31st 2015
I drive it every week since then and wouldn't want to or need to change a single thing :) Think about all those hours of driving I would have missed if I waited for 2017 models?

I drive the :censored: of it on the street (not in traffic or danger of anyone else) and have never had any issues without a trans/diff coolers. I know I could never push it to the extent of that on a track but it serves its purpose for me. Straight up fun every time I drive.

If I was hardcore track guy I would have waited for the 17's
