I agree Id own that car too. It has more than enough money into it to be worth what they were asking

And I wouldn't just assume that the dealer was dirty, the window sticker wouldn't match their claim. Not ALL Ford dealership sales people are Mustang fanatics to know those little details.

Some have never even seen a R in real life, some not even a GT350 as not all dealerships even got those. You assume a lot accusing them. He may have been embarrassed and not called back.

On that note, that show annoys the hell out of me. In the mid 90s I built a 8 second fox body. I drove my car on the street to local hangouts and I street raced it a lot. The only time I trailered my car was when going to Detroit to street race. That's a street car.
Street outlaws are a joke. Don't get me wrong they are fast, but that show is about as dumb as the moonshine show. First of all, they never ever drive the cars to the race location. Now they are building promods. What a joke. The moonshine show, really? and the Feds never find or bust them? About as dumb as the housewives and Kim lardasshian show my ex used to watch. Wtf was Bruce Jenner thinking! Freak

That goes for early 60s models also. I feel the same about most kit cars also. But it's not my money and if it brings someone joy do it.

I ordered my GT350 in the classic white with blue stripes. The black pinstripes would be much better in red. However, I didn't order an R. So naively I asked the dealer if he could special order the car with R stripes. Red, white and blue: Perfect! He just laughed at me . . . And I have black pinstripes.

I wouldn't do it, but then honestly if I wanted to mod appearance or something I'd go for more personalized than trying to replicate some other factory thing.
