People complain about fake tips, but they make complete sense. Exhausts are hot and they vibrate. Managing big tips in the rear fascia is a pain.

An internal exhaust with a surround solves both the heat problem and allows for exhaust vibration inside the tips.

Exhaust tips are cosmetic anyway. Who cares if they are welded on the pipe or not?
I'm all for for them as long as the aesthetics are done properly. And they usually are these days. They're also extremely common in higher end offerings.

Looks good, sounds good; I've got no issues with it. :)

I don't like fake shit. It won't prevent me from buying the car but these fake exhaust rings are going to bug the hell out of me  I remember when the Lexus IFS whatever came out it was one of the first cars to have fake tips and it looked like ass....:tsk:

There's so much plastic exterior trim the the fake exhaust tips are the least of my worries.

I actually kind of like them... as long as they look like this!

It's actually getting really hard to find a modern high-end performance car that doesn't have them, but they're getting really good at hiding them. :)

I think as long as they're convincing and not haphazardly placed, nor are they some funky non-rounded shape, they're alright in my book.

Good catch! I like it because it looks good and it probably is less expensive to produce then a welded and perfectly centered exhaust tip.
