The manufactures that actually care are active on this forum. PMAS is obviously not one of those. I don’t blame the vendors for not responding. They are just selling the product, not designing it.

True. But I was hoping for some insight from the vendors as they recommend this product. They would have info and knowledge of how well a product works and supporting data etc.

For what it's worth, I've made at least 15 passes at the drag strip since installing my PMAS intake and I've never seen a loss in performance due to high IATs. My traps are pretty consistent regardless of what the NGauge says and it often reads 130-140* while I'm waiting in the staging lanes.

That’s good information. Do you ever see a difference with spark retard with higher temps versus cooler temps?

What does it run and trap at the track? I can certainly see it heating up in the staging lanes but would likely only be 5-10* over ambient at the end of the run.

Now if I could only get my cruise control functioning...

I just installed the "short ram air intake" for the gt350...man what a piece. I wanted a Steeda closed system, but they don't make one. Stock the intake levels out at +12 ambient here in SFL. So last night I wrapped the entire elbow in gold foil, all the sides of the intake in DEI insulation made for motorcycle fairings, then to cover up any seams I used the rest the gold foil and finished off one side in siler heat foil, then I did 3 layers on the bottom of the box.
First impression (no tune required) throttle response is dulled then the iat's...it was 90 outside and I could get it lower than 138 cruising at 55 mph in 6th gear for 8 minutes. Car has fresh oil (380 miles on it ) and even the oil temps were up 6-8 degrees.
When I installed it I knew this was a joke, soooo many open areas where fan wash and other areas where hot air can be ingested. I took some sound insulation rubberized mat and started filling in the places where I saw issues, its not pretty but I'm making progress. Then I took my finger and put some red grease and dabbed the weather stripping that is supposed to seal on the hood every 2" and close the hood and found the only part that made contact was the fender side. I now added 1/2'' of weather stripping on top of the original weather stripping and now I am at +15 degrees over ambient. Small throttle inputs still are trash. Pretty disappointed to say the least . There is about $150 in heat insulation on top of the intake for hotter IATs even when in motion. I am debating on using it when I get my exhaust installed...Ohh and to top it all over , they send a bracket to move over the coolant reservoir and the bolt snapped within the first 3 threads ...smh
