I've had my pmas cai for roughy a month and a half now. The filter started out blue and now it looks like a dried up gray color. Is that normal for less than two months of usage? My guess it's because of the open vent right above the filter and rain water just pulls the oil off. Anyone know of any places to buy oil to re-oil it?

It's is a S&B filter, it's grey bc of water most likely. You need to block that vent to keep it from draining into the filter. You can get a cleaning kit form S&B to get it oiled again. You can call them to find out the exact amount of oil needed.

Blue filter dye fades very quickly. DO NOT over oil the filter.

AFE sells a blue recharge kit.

Has anyone purchased a second filter for their PMAS intake? If so, which one did you get and where did you get it from?
Thanks

You can order from PMAS directly or Juggernaut Power

Buy the kit direct from S&B. Much cheaper than buying the same kit from PMAS. I hate using the "squirt on and let disperse" method of oiling the filter. It is hard to get even. I prefer the K&N method of spraying it on. I'm going to buy a cheap spray bottle to apply it next time, though I may still measure it out with the provided bottle. On that note, PMAS does not specify how much oil to use either, and the S&B website does not tell (must be a custom filter?). I got a clue from looking at instructions for similar filters S&B sells and trying it. I used 50ml this first time and it seemed to work fine. If anything it was too little, definitely not too much.

I've always re-oiled filters in the same manner with no issues on my Hondas: spraying the element down just until I get an even coloring and then wiping it down real well, getting off the excess. I also make sure to wipe down all the rubber pieces and crannies where oil can pool.

Are you sure it's a s&B filter? The box it comes in is blank and the quality isn't the same as my other S&B filters that have marked boxes.
