Here you go

I would advise against it. I don’t think there’s that much air flowing into that location and there would probably be no benefit. Not to mention the risk of water going into the filter and the absolute nightmare that it would be to install this thing with the bumper on and then maintain it.

I would be worried about getting water in there, just get a 18+ intake setup, drop in a dry flow air filter and be done with it.

ya that is kind of a secluded spot. Wasn’t really considering it, more so was just curious On where in the bay it sneaks thru and sits , etc.

I don’t think it would be too much trouble to maintain the filter. Sure it’ll be slightly more difficult to do, buy pulling off the left wheel well cover to gain access. You could pull the triangular cover in the left corner of the bumper to increase airflow to the filter. A filter rain/dust sock can also be purchased to put over the filter.

This would be a much better location than any other am filter in my book. Iirc the whipple used in the cobra jet is routed near identical.

How much water do you guys actually drive through that is over the first few inches of the bumper?

Mafs just behind the filter.

I'll have some good pics to post this afternoon. As far as the MAF goes it is relocated but the stock harness reaches it. From what I've been told the IAT's on the PMAS fenderwell kits are actually lower than the other kits where the filter is in the engine bay. Feedback from customers so far has been excellent too.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with in the meantime.

Thanks!

Cool

Some actual pics would be appreciated, engine Bay Area and such.. Still kinda curious.

Some actual real world feedback or dyno info would be even better.

That is actually a lot further off the under tray than I saw before.

The ones I saw before had the filter right against the flat of the under tray.
On the PP cars there is a duct in the tray that will hit the bottom of the filter. If it's a PP, you can trim the PMAS plastic shield and you don't use the lower maf bracket they include (it's not really needed anyway). This lets the maf housing and filter move up about 1.5" to clear the bump in the tray.

Hope that helps.

Here's what it looks like once you do what I mentioned above if you have a PP car.
