Short vid. Shocked at how fast the trims settled.
All-in-All took about 3 hrs to install w/ basic hand tools.
No need to take the bumper off, the undertray is all you
need to remove. FOLLOW the instructions and you'll be
golden.

Pmas may flow well but their quality is trash, the fender well is a pain in the ass to install and troubleshoot if you have issues like I did. Just get a JLT or Regular PMAS the whole low IAT thing is BS my IATs on my fenderwell are not any lower than they were on my JLT CAI I sold to get their POS intake

I guess bashing for the sake of bashing.

So to address @Rebirth_18 concerns on my end:

the fender well is a pain in the ass to install and troubleshoot if you have issues
Initial installation certainly isn't a PITA, but it does take 2-3hrs. FOLLOW the instructions (including bending the supplied horn mount as instructed) , and you won't have issues. Servicing is no problem, all you have to do is remove 4 push-pins from the fender liner to access the filter.

Just get a JLT or Regular PMAS the whole low IAT thing is BS my IATs on my fenderwell are not any lower than they were on my JLT CAI
As I did have a JLT CAI, I can assure that the fender well PMAS IAT does not rise anywhere remotely as fast as the JLT. EG: After install, I let it IDLE to normal operating temp, the IDLE some more, then IDLE it some more again, in the garage w/ zero airflow, it took a very long time just to raise 15° above ambient. It then stabilizes, with all the supplied parts installed .

POS intake
FAR from.
~ my JLT was no quicker than my stock '17 airbox.
~ my gen3 airbox was quicker than both the JLT & '17 airbox w/ cleaner MAF signal.
~ my PMAS (sans fender well kit) was .1-.15 seconds quicker than the 18 everywhere.

Quality of the PMAS is excellent, despite my misfortune. JLT quality was not as good. diameter of the MAF housing was inconsistent, due to thin plastic, and that long sweeping elbow did no favors. MAF signal was all over the place.

Look I call things like they are The filter can be accessible through the fender liner but you cannot get it off without taking the front fascia off unless you want to bend your horn bracket up. The heat shield broke the first time I had to take it off because the push pins would not release. That heat shield is a joke. You are better off with the regular PMAS or JLT CAI and I see very little difference in IATs once you are moving they come down with any CAI.

Great. I've been there, done that, tested all of them.

Wrong. My facia never came off. Just the splash pan. Filter can be removed via fender well. How do I know ? Did just that. Horns were already bent up as per instructions during install.

Retainers are simple to remove w/ a retainer clip remover.

It's primary purpose is to prevent heat getting sucked in. Which it does well.
The original PMAS race heat shield does next to nothing for heat control.

The JLT 3/4 box looks good, lets in all kinds of heat when at slow speeds. The grommet around the top DOES not make contact with the hood. It cools off fast-ish when driving cause it utilizes the snorkel that attaches to the grill.

But, to each there own.

Edit: Here's a pic where I brought the PMAS to the track and test:

Before you went the fender well route, did you note any advantages to opening up the honeycomb in the grill?

Yes, cooled down much faster once you're moving.

That's what I was hoping you'd say. I'm using the Steeda MaxFlow with the open box, I suppose a lot like the JLT you were using, but I don't think it seals well to the hood, if it seals at all.
