PMAS dis coloration?

ive noticed the bright blue filter on my pmas intake has turned a dull grey color with under 1k miles of use. this normal? no its not just dirty.

Are those filters actually colored or is it the oil solution that you spray on them? Might be indication that it needs to be reoiled or something? I could be wrong, just shooting out a thought.

The coloring is the oil and it will dull to a grey over time. I'm not sure how many miles after initial install they need to be cleaned and reoiled though. I just put mine in last week.

The filter is made by S&B for PMAS. From another poster: "per S&B, 54g of oil on the main filter element and 7g on the powerstack is required."

My steeda filter color didn't last 1k miles lol. The K&N recharge kit is holding the color better.
