Kinda ended up disappointed this week afterstalling pmas intake lund tune and corsa extremes. I got a 93 tune from lund on ngauge. The temps on the pmas are alot higher then stock. And i dont really feel much more power with the tune and intake. Was expecting a night and day difference. Car actually feels slower down low:/

1. Do a few logs with Lund and make sure everything is alright with the tune.
2. You might be the first S550 owner to not feel anything with a tune. I didn't feel any of the additional 14whp I gained with the PMAS, but the tune is night and day.
3. The temps aren't hurting you like you think they are. The car doesn't pull any timing until 108* of intake temp. Which is very unlikely you're that high while driving. It also doesn't really "pull" any, it just doesn't add as much.

Yes. Something must be off because I felt the gains with PMAS and Lund tune very easily. Totally different car after a tune.

15hp increase on 400hp is less than 4%. Your butt dyno would have to be very very good to feel that.

When I turbocharged an old Miata I owned I went from 110 rwhp to 220. I felt that!

At what lower temperatures does the car add more timing though to take advantage of denser air?

Everyone talks about the car pulling timing above 108* but at what lower temperatures does it add additional timing?

Curious to know. :)

I was crusing at 70 mph on highway. Outside temp was 79. My air inlet temp was reading 94 . Upto 120 in town

My car is without a doubt faster. I got the flex tune though. I did have a night and day difference. I haven't really tested it out off the flex fuel yet but in flex fuel I love the gains. Can't wait to Install my long tubes. Something dosnt sound right. Are you sure you loaded the tune? Lol.

Strange my IAT always read 7* above ambient on the freeway. It does warm up alot in the street atleast 25* above ambient.

Look man, I know you're pissed, but it'll get worked out. Datalogging with Lund could may be the fix like was earlier posted. Lund mentioned to me to datalog with him after I installed my IM, headers and his tune, but I'm not really feeling the need to do so. These things happen sometime, I'm sure there is a fix for it.

None. Anything below 108* and the IAT plays no roll in timing. The car starts at a base timing and ramps up to limit. Most 93 tunes stop at 27-29* of timing and E85 will allow for 30* at peak, assuming there is no knock.

One thing I want to point out that some may miss is the way this pmas maf is designed where it isn't flat surface for maf to bolt up to it appears you need to tighten each bolt evenly on maf so that it goes all the way in and straight. At first mine was a little slanted and had slightly higher IAT like 9 to 10* above ambient while on freeway. I had tightned one more down than the other and it got tight before fully seated. Now that I adjusted it stays at 7* above on freeway. Drops more the faster I go obviously :)

Hmmm, good to know.

And yeah OP, cruising down the highway with IAT's that high sounds odd to me. Mine are between 5 and 7 on the highway. They jump up to 110 sitting at red light after red light, but drop pretty quick out on the open roads.
