In 2012 the only performance package was the Brembo brake package. The photo listed is of a 2013-14 GT, not a 2012.

Thanks, that's good information. It doesn't look like there's a way to verify whether or not the 2012 car had the Brembo package.

What kind of breaks do the base (non-PP) 2015 Mustang GT's use, and how do they hold up in a track application?

You can bet magazine testers used whatever performance packages were available at the time.

2015 non-PP Mustangs have 14" 4-piston brakes made by Ford. As far as how well they do on track, you should check out the thread section dedicated to actual racing.

As mentioned here, the pics don't match, but the #29 is listed as a "'12". The hp is also wrong, the 2011-2012 was rated at 412hp, 13-14 went up to 420. I don't think any of them were 426 hp stock, but I'm not positive about that last.

The 2011 & 2012 performance package was only called the "Brembo package", but I think it also included some suspension mods. An easy way to distinguish the brembo cars is to look for 19" wheels and the brembo calipers behind them. As today, the 19" wheels may have been available without the brembos, but all of the brembo cars had 19" wheels. I had a 2012 5.0 without the brembo package, on 18" wheels.

426 PS which is the German method of measuring HP, converts to about 420 I think.

The Brembo package had a slightly revised suspension but nothing noteworthy. My original suspension components are in boxes in my basement.
