Thank you for the info firestarter2! 12 days sound good to me. Did you see a difference from other brake pads? I wasn't that impressed with the braking power of G-LOCs. But again, I brake pretty late. I changed the rotors after the OEM pads destroyed them.

1st time with NASA, HPDE3 looks like intermediate and HPDE4 advanced. I wonder what timings are within HPDE3. For example in Chin Track Days for Thunderbolt prob below 1:36 can get you in their Intermediate class.
My best times were on the stock pads but that might be anecdotal, I changed my braking towards the end of the season. I break relatively early I think. But I have noticed when people tell you they break and when they actually do if you follow them is very different

I just want to do lime rock I think i should be sub 1:36 this year though. We will see the on track time is a little low (very?) with NASA its a bit more of a social event lol.

Very true! Even when I watch my videos, I question myself on what I was thinking I was doing Vs what I was actually doing. Another way of learning :)

Cool, hope we all meet at NASA then! I'm sure if we are HPDE2 and after the 1st session we feel that is not advanced enough, we can move up to HPDE3. At least that's what happened with Chin Track Days.

Are you doing both days?

Yeah that will be my season opener. I did notice chin is there the same day on the other track though.

And front G-LOC brake pads are done after 2 track days (20% left)?!?!. Looking at Ferodo DSUNO or Pagid Yellow for my next brake pads.
That's really surprising. I'm pretty rough on my brakes as well and got 14 days out of my R16 G-Loc pads. What compound were you running? Any pics? Have you checked both of the pads? (inner and outer pads of both calipers?)

May 5th-6th NASA Lightning for me. Will be HPDE2 and never been to that track so HPDE3 is out of the question for me. Would be great to have some lead follow laps with you guys to help me get up to speed and learn the line.
Can't believe 2 track days on a set of pads; that's crazy. With that said you do brake much later than me at the end of the long straight into T1 at Thunderbolt.

I'm planning for it! We might have 4-5 GT350s :)

honeybadger yes very surprising and good question! I run the R18 front and R12 rear. The passenger side still looks good, but the driver side not good. The before pics were after the 1st morning session (very light session) and the after pics after the end of the track day 4th session. This was the 2nd track day with the G-LOCs.

The NJMP Thunderbolt track is 2.25 miles, with 12 right hand turns, and a one half mile straightway. I assume because of the right hand turns and the hard braking it caused the driver side to decrease that much. Thoughts?

I saw something similar actually. I thought it might be related to a bad bleed but maybe it's the stability control.

Looked at my brakes and same thing here as well with stock pads; driver side front nearly gone but passenger side is about 1/2. Total of 4 track days on these pads all at Thunderbolt.

Interesting results. I wonder what the driver's side inside pad looks like.

NJMP Thunderbolt 03/31/2018

First track day of the year at NJMP Thunderbolt on 03/31/2018.
Fantastic day and great fun with ARPA, friend and fellow 6G member here.
Second session and surprisingly, my best laps of the day. Right after these laps and behind me, a car went off track pretty bad and must have damaged the oil pan. When he came back on track, he spilled lots of fluids right on the racing line for about a half a mile or so. That session was stopped after 20 mins.
That oil spill must have played in my head the entire rest of the day as I was not able to improve in sessions 3 & 4. Car felt great though, now with P51 wheels and SC2's, R specs.

Look forward to see more GT350's on the tracks soon !

NJMP Lightning. First time at this fun track. Has a good flow to it. T1 can be tricky.

1:17!!! That's an excellent time for lighting. petstang also mentioned you guys had a good time, besides the slow traffic  Soon my car will be done (no headers for now, long story :tsk: and would be great to have few GT350s there!
