It is locked ... you need to press in on the side to unlock and at the same time pull it up and off.How do you remove the hose which is over the PCV valve? Simply pulling it off does not do the job. It feels locked into place.
What year is your car and model? I have a 2019 GT and just got a new one at ford they gave me 297 and I didn’t realize till after there is 2 different ones and don’t see part number on my old one.Is there any difference in installing the following 2 PCV valves onto a 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt, apparently they both fit:
1) EV281 (7L3Z6A666A) 4 small ports, naturally aspirated use based on the list of vehicles

2) EV297 (KR3Z6A666A) completely hollow deign, used on multiple cars mostly turbo charged ford engines

If you are burning a lot of oil the pcv valve is not going to change that. If the pcv valve is sucking a lot of oil it is because there’s a lot of oil vapor in the engine and pcv valve is not going to change that. and the hesitation at 2k is not going to change from a pcv valveHI EVERYONE
I have been concerned about the oil consumption.
It's been stable so far, but it is high.
Then, I went to dealership and talked to the "master technician", which is not a shadow of a "master"; maybe not even a good technician.
He disconneted a double-edged hose and had access to the pcv valve, which he did not take it out for some reason.
I was along with him asking why; he DID NOT EXPLAIN WHY.
But I could notice that he did try to take it out but pretended he did not with the excuse "not necessary".
And the PCV valve was left loose.
He blew inside it with his mouth (YES, HE DID THAT) and said it was all right.
I was expecting him to really take it out and test it, by shaking it and hearing the sphere up and down.
Then he put on the double hose again.
The minute I left the dealership, I noticed the car running not as sharply and quickly as it used to be.
THE THING THAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION WAS THIS: the PCV was kind of loose.
Now, I ask you: MAYBE IS THAT THE REASON THE CAR IS DIFFERENT?
I cannot think otherwise.
Probably some air escaping?
I am very annoyed by that situation...car was flying like a rocket.
Now at aroung 2kRPM I feel some hesitation; not a immediate answer like before.
Mainly with high gears.
