So i'm picking between lund vs PBD for my 18 auto 10 speed. Mainly i'm looking for better shifting as in downshifts, upshifts, etc. I want something that feels like a zf8, I think the best way to describe it is "crisp" shifting. Can anyone chime in on this?

Honestly, track mode(if you have drive modes) will have the most "crisp" shifts. My PBD car shifts like drag mode but a tad more aggressive. They don't necessarily feel "crisp" but they're fast, which is what you need.

Seems like zf8 equipped cars pull a tad more timing on shifts than A10 cars. Which give it a slightly smoother shifter. Which is slower. Also, check out the new gt500 when it's running in drag mode vs track. The drag mode sounds slower and less crisp but in fact, it's faster. I know it's a DCT, but it's food for thought.

I'm short, they're won't shift the same, period. Both companies will most likely be similar on shifting.

Here's a rolling clip. Supercharged and nitrous civic, which had hurt a lot of feelings locally. I had to run in 3rd vs 2nd, because 2nd was nuking the street tires. Hard to hear anything, but it'll give you an idea.

I'm mainly looking for better downshifts, and I really enjoy a quick shifting transmission (but can't a afford a car with a DCT), this will mainly be for autocross and spirited canyon driving. Which ever tune gives me the most kick or fastest shift, that's the one i want. I could barely hear the shifts in the video but none the less thanks for the video! Have you tried a lund tune by any chance?

I didn't really notice any difference in downshifts tuned and not tuned. They've always been nice and crispy when in track mode or sport+. Most companies are focused on up shifts.

Your sig says you have a premium. Do you not use any of the drive modes? I would think Sport+ would be the closest to what you want with the more aggressive downshifting

I do, still not aggressive or quick enough for me.

Lund has more fast 10r cars than anyone. Anyone can tune air fuel, the automatic tranny's are what seperates the men from the boys.

They have this trans dialed in great and shifting hard they can adjust the firmness of the shifts as well

All of them
I really enjoy the PBD A10 tune personally, I highly recommend them.

World records are cool but not everyone's primary factor, especially when asking about driving characteristics instead of micro records - PBD does very well in the A10 world with streetcars and NA cars, so you get proven performance as well with them.

I think either company would work for what you want.

Will the different modes still have their differences? And still follow what they were meant to do but just be more aggressive? I wouldn't want all modes to be the same.

also what gains will I see on just a 93 tune for my 2019 GT A10?

The only mode I was able to tell a difference in was normal mode. The rest of my driving modes seem to have stayed the same

93 tune won't net much total power on 18+ but the trans tuning will definitely help. Tuning for e however makes a significant power increase.
