procharger will be your easiest install from what ive been told by everyone ive talked to, but my personal recommendation would be to talk to mike@tbr or beefcake about a beefcake special. You can do any of the 3 systems with extras for sharply discounted prices with them. I am about to install my beefcake special Paxton system next week. If you would like to know how it goes let me know and I can give you specifics. Good luck in your research man.

I'd like to do the install myself, but I'm pretty tool deficient other than sockets and drivers. No grinding or cutting tools, so I would like something that bolts right up.

From what i understand theres no modification at all with procharger and the only mod with the vortech/paxton kits is trimming the intake cover slightly which is nothing.

You could easily install both with basic hand tools. The procharger is a bit easier to install but I wouldn't base a system I choose by installation alone. Both require around the same for maintenance.

That's all I want to know. Now I need to figure out how to get that header corsa combo and what supercharger.

I have a Paxton kit and it is an involved installation but I was really pleased with the finished product. To me, the Paxton/Vortech kits looks like more effort was put into design layout over the Procharger. They all will make the car faster but what will look better when you open the hood? If I am going to spend that kind of money, I want it to look just as good as it performs.

You re-use some factory cooling and vacuum hoses in the Paxton/Vortech kits, and there's some trimming here and there (engine cover, radiator shrouds, possibly hood liner, depending on the kit).

Buy OEM replacements for those, and yeah. You could go 100% back to stock.

I havent seen too many S550's with Paxtons or Vortechs. They are very popular with tye 11-14 crowd.

they are all good kits and have great capabilities. The Paxton and vortech kits are capable of higher horse power out of the box. Determin your horse power goals first and then pick. Personally I've decided to go with a Paxton kit because of its looks and power out put at 8 psi.
