So you think Billy Johnson's article in MotoIQ is BS? They found 12rwhp with a Borla S cat back.

Is the PP2 package better than getting the PP1 package and Borla ATAK exhaust?

Catback doesn’t free up much if any flow on a NA car. Same on the cai side. Now if he had some serious mods then yes but otherwise stock no
CAI and catback on a stock car are a waste of $$$ unless you're after the sound.

Not sure, I've combined the Roush PP1 with a FP Borla exhaust on my 2015 and I'm quite pleased with the result.

Lol, Just to make sure I am not tripping, Axle backs and Cat Backs are 2 different things right. I'm pretty sure that they are. I just don't know how catbacks horse power gains got in the discussion ,

Billy Johnson did a write up for MotoIq and they got 12rwhp with a Borla Stype catback.

Borla Stype catback

Now this included an xpipe not just mufflers. The baseline numbers are right in line what a stock Gen3 Coyote makes. Interesting...

I think this and the FRPP powerkit would keep your warranty happy and with the feds.

The dyno was done at Palm Beach Dyno, a reputable dyno.
The problem is a dyno can vary from pull to pull buy that much. If you don’t do the test back to back on the same dyno within maybe a hour those numbers are useless

True, but not 12rwhp worth. Palm Beach Dyno is a reputable shop that keeps their Dyno properly calibrated. If it was statistical noise it would be 3-4 rwhp not 12.

To be fair I have seen plenty of back to back pulls, no changes, same car same dyno vary by more than that. Both boosted or NA. Just playing devils advocate on that one 😁

I have seen that much on boosted cars, not normally aspirated. I am too a little skeptical. It's just when you see the players involved it adds credibility to the article. Billy Johnson, PBD and such. A lot of times when you see such discrepancies is a low baseline run, that's not the case here though. I do believe an xpipe with a axle back could be worth 5-7rwhp, bit 12.9 actually made me wonder.

A member here tested his Borla Switchfire and got 6rwhp more over his previous midpipe. This was a FBO car as his car was pushing 500rwhp.

I put the Borla S-type on my otherwise stock 2020 GT 10r80, partly because I like Borla's sound and quality, and partly because of the couple of dynos asserting the ~10hp. I don't have dyno proof but I ave logged MAF /airflow and I believe I have the seen the approx. 10hp. I am on to further mods and continue to discern my results in part from MAF readings. (my phase 2 was Steeda closed pro-flow, ported 2018 intake and ported TB. Plus my tuning with timing and fuel for the firs time.. All that, about 25-30hp I think)
