I thought I was doing good to get the 11.93 @ 117. What was your 60' time and what did you do get into the 11.6's?
The 60' was 1.77099. As far a what I did to get into the 11.6, what I always do when I go to the track. The passenger seat and rear seat stay in the garage.

What other mods you had beside the Ford power pack?
Like I told olerodder, my passenger seat and back seat stay in the garage. Guess you could say that's a mod.

God Damn! That shaved off alot if time doing that.
Hey! that passenger seat is heavy. Got that electric motor and crap. Almost throw my back out, getting it out. The back seat is light in comparison. I've read that the front seat is about 50 lbs, but I've got to believe they're not talking about the power seat because if feels heavier than that. Or maybe, it's just because I'm getting old and feeble.

Wow, the best I could do was a 2.03 60'. I only had 25psi in the rear 285 Michelins, 1/4 tank of 91 because that's all we have, fronts pumped up to 45psi, air filter out so the box was empty, TC was off, skipped the water box, had the OE active mufflers were open, power braked it to around 2k, then had the emergency brake on until I felt the tires digging in, I think I gained about 300rpm. I tried it in all modes and the fastest was standard and letting the trans shift itself. I'll be interested in seeing what the FPP CAI/tune will produce.
I'd say the 1.7 60's was incredible with the stock converter as my 70 Maverick only cuts a 1.29 60', although runs 9.80's @ 136.

The passenger seat is 54.3 lbs but it's awkward weight. Rear seat bottom is 12.2 lbs and read seat backs together are 20.4 lbs. Total reduction of 86.9 lbs for ~10 minutes of work. These weights are from my car which has the leather seats (400a).

For the people cutting 2.0+ 60', the single best thing you can do to see a major improvement at the track is swap on some 17 inch wheels with a good DR on them. That will help with traction on the launch and first 2 gear changes (especially for those with drag mode).

I was specifically trying to figure out how to do it without a tune, but ok.
Everything you do to these cars that affects the airflow is going to require a tune.

A tuneless cold air intake uses the stock size MAF housing, it will not add 1hp. A catback, will not add 1hp.

A cat delete x pipe/h pipe is going to require a tune. Headers will require a tune.

This is not true. These cars have maf sensors and wideband 02 sensors that can account for a large amount of airflow differences. Also the intake/exhaust is not true. Many have seen gains with intakes/ cat backs with proven dyno sheets. A tuneless intake just means that the maf algorithm doesnt have to change because the tube size is the same diameter as stock. Nothing to do with performance gains

For this "Ole" drag racer, the proof of the pudding is in 1/4 mile times. I know quite a few people who used tuneless CAI on their 2011 to 2014 GT's with no measurable gain in horse power, at least no change in 1/4 mile time or speed. My 2014 Performance Pak showed 0 gain with the Airaid CAI without a tune and the adapter in, and when it was taken out and tuned by AED it showed over 1 second in 1/4 mile times along with 6mph.
When I put the X pipe resonator delete on my 19 GT PP1/A10 I know there was an improvement in my finely tuned seat of the pants gauge and we'll see how much I can improve with the M-9603-M8B Kit with calibration.

Nobody has seen any gains from a intake alone or a catback without a tune. Because it’s the tune that got the extra power.
The most restrictive part of the exhaust system is the catalytic converter‘s. after the cats you have less exhaust pressure than before. so it doesn’t matter how much extra flow there is behind the cat if you still have the cats.

A lot of good info from both sides, tune or w/o tune.

Now I do have a question:

Corsa and Awe Tuning are claiming gains with their new CAI and catback Touring w/o a tune.

So...whats the deal?

Do you have a link?, I haven't seen anything.

You're confusing MAF with MAP. If you change the housing size for a MAF, it needs to be recalibrated. No ifs ands or buts. It has been proven many times aftermarket intakes show minimal to zero gain over a stock 2018+ airbox on a dyno, and thats intakes with larger diameter maf housings.

Without a tune, you're not making any large amounts of HP.

Remove the cats from these cars without a tune, and you'll still have Cat overtemp protection dumping fuel when theres no need for it, which is a power loss. Relo the front O2's to a collector without a tune and you'll have transport delay issues.

but you knew this right? You've looked at the calibration table layout of a S550 right?

The thing is, you're not going to be able to show me anything that proves your point.
