Hello All,

I just wanted to ask what mods could I add to get 500 Horsepower or more, preferably without voiding my warranty. I have a 2018 Ford Mustang GT 10 Speed Auto 300 Package with the following mods:

Corsa Performance CAI: Claims gains of (20 HP and 11 TQ)
Steeda Axle Back Exhaust: Claims gain around 10 RWHP.

Steeda IRS Subframe Braces.

Thanks for the help.

Are you talking about 500 crank HP or RWHP? Either way, most other mods to add power will either require a tune or physical changes to stock hardware (ex: ported intake). Depending on the issue and dealer, any of these things could void some aspects of your warranty related to the parts and/or powertrain.

If all you care about is a number, put your car in a dyno and see where it sits as-is. Or, go to the drag strip and see what your trap speed is (can extrapolate HP from 1/4 mile trap speed).

I'm talking crank HP. I know getting 500 RWHP will take more work.

Thanks

Tuning for e85, long tube headers, carbon fiber drive shaft and light weight wheels (last 2 for less parasitic HP loss to the ground) should get you around 500whp. Axle back wouldn’t add any hp and the advertised number on a non tuned cai I would take with a grain of salt. Easiest way to guage increase is before and after dyno or before and after 1/4 mile runs.

Do you recall how much the QA1 CF DS weighed?

If I recall I believe it was in the 17.5-20lb range. Would need to pull up the specs to confirm.

So about a 10lb reduction. Did you feel a difference in hard acceleration?

Definitely revved even quicker if that's possible for the A10. Similar to switching to lighter wheels where acceleration seemed to require less effort. And again less parasitic loss to the wheels on the dyno.

OP if you want 500 crank and not void your warranty that's gonna be tough. No tune PMAS, long tube headers, FFE, & race gas. If you ever have a claim, change it back to stock.

Billy Johnson did a write up for MotoIq and they got 12rwhp with a Borla Stype catback.

Borla Stype catback

Now this included an xpipe not just mufflers. The baseline numbers are right in line what a stock Gen3 Coyote makes. Interesting...

I think this and the FRPP powerkit would keep your warranty happy and with the feds.

The dyno was done at Palm Beach Dyno, a reputable dyno.

I agree, switched out the boat anchors for SVE wheels shaved 42lbs of rotational mass off the wheels and the car feels so much lighter on its feet.

Ported manifold, E85 custom tune, intake, full exhaust, fuel pump booster and larger injectors. Unfortunately the warranty would need to be voided unless your dealership is cool with it. We sell everything here at www.lethalperformance.com Give us a call tel:1.561.753.8105.

Since this has been debated since the first horse was equipped with a o2 mask & a fart can, you are right in regards to most CAI & Axle backs. Well designed CAI & axle backs to infact free up hrsprs. My PMAS gained almost 2/10ths, & anything that frees up exhaust flow adds some ponies as well.
Catback doesn’t free up much if any flow on a NA car. Same on the cai side. Now if he had some serious mods then yes but otherwise stock no
