2015 V6 Mustang…passenger side window just started going up and down BY ITSELF the last quarter inch or so…about the distance the window adjusts itself when you close the door…maybe a little bit more. Driving me CRAZY.
Any ideas? I’m thinking something janky going on with the window motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!!

Hey nice color choice 😁 I had the same issue with my passenger window, and was super worried that it would do this after I parked the car (it lives out in the elements). I took the door panel off, and took ALL (3 iirc) connectors apart, door jamb switch plug, window motor plug, and I think there was a third plug 🤔 I blew them out with compressed air to ensure they were dry (be careful not to blow rubber seals out of the plugs) and then applied dielectric grease to the PERIMETER (this is important) of the plug, to keep moisture out and reseated all. Perimeter being important, meaning don’t put the grease in the plug face, where the terminal pins/holes are. If you do, (like I did at first) the problem will likely become more severe due to a lack of connection quality. After doing it properly with a perimeter coating, the problem has been gone for over 6 months now. Give it a shot before replacing anything; worked for me 🤞🏻

Makes it easy to find in a parking lot. Just put a carbon fiber hood it as the original was getting the cancer around the edges these models are also (in)famous for…
Thanks!

Pull the door panel and check the motor connector for water intrusion.
Not an uncommon thing for theses cars.

Mine is a ‘16 and somehow so far the hood is still MINT rust-wise. I saw a lot of them with edge rot starting when I was looking before I bought mine 🤞🏻 And yes……I also chose Competition Orange so nobody would ever spot me LMAO 😆

Consider yourself lucky with the hood. Ford should have done a recall…but whatever…lol!

Try rolling it down and holding for 10 seconds, then rolling it up and holding for 10 seconds. Common “reset” procedure on a lot of cars. May not be it, but your cost is 20 seconds of your time.
