Is this from a Victorian dealer? How can there be such a difference
Yes sounds suss to me.

My Dealer is in Geelong Victoria, and I'm pretty sure it was $695 also, I'll check my emails.

Has anyone else had the sensors put in. I dont see how they could cost over $700.

Also do they connect to the sync parking system?

One of the nsw guys I met at the first sydney meet had them fitted by his dealer with an override switch on the steering column . Not sure what he paid but definitely a good option.

Having mine installed at first service next week. They do not connect to the Sync but make an audible beeping sounds instead, which gets more frantic the closer you get to an object.

In NZ I am paying $NZD690 for them to install front sensors. They won't work through the SYNC system but will have an audible alarm.

Done. Comes with a discreet switch to turn them off if you want to as well.

So are there 4 sensors Anne? I usually only see cars with ones at the corners, but there looks to be sensors next to the plate.

Found these on RPI's website - a do it yourself kit which can be removed and says requires not drilling.

This is a supplement to what you have Anne, not a replacement. This just protects the underneath bits from the curb. Your sensors protect the sides and front of the bumper. You'd want both ideally, though all the beeps might get confusing!

$695 installed by dealer - dealer warranty to make sure it's a good job.
I wish that were true tantash. I saw dealer fitted rear sensors on a Mandarin coloured BF GT several years ago. Was the most disgusting case of butchery I've ever seen on car!? As you can imagine the rear bumper needed painting and did not of course, match the factory colour anymore! I believe it ended up in court.:frusty:
