General practice on most cars is to use a wheel chock or a 2x4 right after coming off a track session to prevent rotor damage with a parking brake.
I’m not sure whether ours are similar to other cars (ours have drum brakes in the rear for the parking brake), but would that result in any damage to our brakes if we were to use the parking brake immediately after hot laps?
Do most cars use drum brakes for their parking brakes? Should I stick to using a chock right after track, or will the seperate parking brake system be ok to use while still hot?
