Anyone seen anything like this ? Paint is cracked on the hood right on the top of where the support is molded underneath. No damage dings dents etc otherwise.. paint is just cracked. It’s weird but I want it fixed

Are you the original owner? What year is the car?

That front bumper looks like it’s been repainted before. Which means the hood possibly too. If so, could have been poor craftsmanship.

I’m third owner, bought it last week. 2019 32k miles. 2nd owner bought car from dealer in colorodo in August 23 and brought it back to mass. No reported accidents or repairs. Front bumper has PPF on it

The car is eight years old with 32k so a lot of things could have caused it. As the third owner you will never know. Just find a good body shop, get if fixed and enjoy your new to you Mustang.

Yep - you’ll have to source a good body shop OR source out a good used hood in the same color and swap…

Ford’s Paint and Corrosion Warranty is only 5yr/60k.

From the image it does look like that area of the hood is bent down, at least from the images…. Did someone sit, stand, fall onto or manhandle that corner of the hood?

Did you buy the car that way and you’re just looking for ideas to repair?

Yes bought the car with that, and want it fixed. Went to a local reputable body shop Saturday but turns out they aren’t open on Saturday. Need to me lol

MAYBE it was leaned against? Don’t know, didn’t know if it was a common issue like the corrosion on the hoods that fords get that I was just unaware of, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. In person, feeling and looking at it with the hood both open and closed there is no noticeable bend. It literally just feels like cracked paint, which is what makes it so odd. I found an oem take off in white that I can have shipped to my door for 750, that might end up being the best option price wise. Can’t imagine the paint will be cheap to fix, plus the PDR needed on another part of the hood ~250-300 for that repair

It's a strange one considering the leading edges alignment and gaps are perfect.

Could just get it wrapped but the take off $750 seems the best option if packed really well. Maybe a recycler like car part.com etc has one closer to you...
