So my GF purchased a Echoboost vert a few months ago and it now has a large paint issue on the hood. It has started to bubble/peel and it looks terrible. She took it into the dealer for warranty work and apparently FORD has rejected it. They claim it was caused by 'external factors' despite being garaged 7 days a week and only used on the weekends. She currently has 2700 miles on the car and it looks like this:

Are there any Ford reps on here that can point me in the right direction to have this escalated? There is no reason this should be happening at 2700 miles and she keeps the car immaculate.

Thanks

It's not etched and isn't burned, so I'm not sure what they are talking about.

Raise hell! Ford has had issues with hoods for years and now it's rearing its ugly head on the '15's. They know this is an issue. Contact Ford Service here on the forums. I'm sure Ford doesn't want another class action for the same issue.

Yeah I found the FordService account on here and sent them a message. Hopefully I will get a reply from them soon. We both love our cars but things like this really put a damper on that.

This is from underneath? No chance of tree sap?

I don't see how tree sap would get on there and stay long enough to do that kind of damage. It's always garaged and kept spotless. The car is barely 4 months old with 2700 miles on it.

Thanks for the PM, Ashpian! Will you please send another one with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number? I’ll look into this for you.

Thank you for the mention, ScottsGT!

If ford doesn't fix that then the CEO has to go. The old ceo was great for customers!
