Paint chipping off calipers

Has anyone had the red paint chip off their calipers? I have a small spot on the front right brake caliper that has come off. Can I just touch it up? Where do I get the paint?

How would chips in paint be covered by warranty ? Rocks flying around could ruin warranty replacements over and over and over again.

Are the paint chips in a position that ‘might’ be vulnerable to contact with the wheel barrel during a careless wheel change ?

Not trying to start a shit storm or point the finger - I’m well aware that everyone on here is perfect

In contrast to the above, bro got his M4 rear callipers changed for paint chipping by BMW - after a pad change by a main dealer …

Although it was genuinely their mistake, we didn’t think he would get anywhere so we’re were surprised when they honoured the claim. We suspect the tech that worked on the car had a bit of a bad rep as they volunteered the info that they couldn’t question him, as he was no longer with them … I think this went in bro’s favour.

I had read (on here) that the red is RAL3020 (traffic red).

Any auto body paint supplier should be able to mix touch up bottles or sprays using that reference

I have RAL samples at work, but I have never been able to put them up against any OE red callipers to check.

I used that reference for the Steeda parts I got done (and I also used it for the full front suspension on another car) :

The rear calipers are not same color RED as front brembos, slightly off.. The rears are BULLITT RED, i forgot the paint code, I will look when i get home and front brembos are RAL3020 (traffic red). . I've touched up both front and rear on mine. I like the RAL touch up paint in bottle w brush, not spray can.
