Not sure what to try next. Car died on the road, after playing with the pedal and disconnecting/reconnecting the throttle body connections I got the car to limp along a bit
Basically what happens is the car starts, it does a higher than normal cold start, you hit the pedal a few times and then it goes into this weird surging idle. Hitting the gas pedal doesn't do anything at all after the first 2-3 times.
Video:
I tried replacing the throttle body with a used one (was supposed to work), as well as a brand new one from Ford, doesn't act any different.
I don't think it's the pedal because I can watch the voltages go up and down on SCT livelink as I hit the pedal. If I move the throttle body plate by hand I can see the voltages for that change as well.
GT500 TB as it has a Whipple on it.
Any ideas? this is a gen 1 car, there are no real gen 1 forums that are active.
SCT datalog attached
