After getting through Ian, delaying the much needed oil change by over a week and still having to be mobile - I had a check engine light the two days before the oil change with a rough idle. It was gone sometimes - then back - but there for the most part.
After the oil change it was gone - and the techs provided the P0301 code - cylinder 1 misfire. Checked the harness today and see that some tape is missing, and the white wire is probably severed - see picture. Dont think I need to really look further for another culprit....
Is a splice a good option here - or just get a new wiring harness - looks like $290 through ford parts - probably cheaper elsewhere.
Just thinking of using one of those lowtemp heatshrink solder connectors - quick and easy.
