Right they would, but they can't say that because you have coilovers for example that it means you were racing and thus deny your warranty for the engine. Also just because you have "racing" type of modifications doesn't mean you were actually racing. People put on big wings, splitters etc. for cars that never see a track.They'll look at the modifications done to the car and take that all into account. I have no doubt that they will try to get out of any warranty repair that they can. Unless they have proof that you raced the car or neglected it.
I'm just curious how they would be able to prove you were "competitively" racing, and be able to do so without you as the owner being able to scrub said evidence.
