The GT500 comes with larger OPG but word is they are still the same powder forged material used in the GT .

Any concerns with adding power ?

Does anyone make a billet gear ?

People have run stock gears while making 1100whp and they have been fine. Unless you're doing a teardown I don't see any reason to upgrade.
Thanks .
I ask cause I am building up a predator block to replace the stock motor in my 18GT and decided to add some GT 500 goodness while I was it , hence upgrade the pump /pan .
My stock motor has upgraded CS/billet gears and while it looks like it may be down on power based on trap (3-4 mph ) I am not even sure yet if it’s hurt .
I am trying to build the short block up as much as possible (maybe into a long block) before the swap to minimize the labor involved .
I actually have a spare voodoo pan /pump with stock gears (and billet gears available) but wanted to keep that for a different build but could always use that if needed .
I just want to be sure I am not rolling the dice on the GT 500 pump when I already have a proven combo I could use .
I have already ordered the GT 500 pump /pan but it’s not yet shipped .

FP sells upgraded gears if you want them. If youre already assembling it I'd upgrade "just to be safe" but I have no plans to do them with no need on my car, even if I was pushing 800+. Sure some brake, but there is also a guy on YT that had gone over 20,000 miles on this, with MANY 8 second track passes and making over 1100whp, and when he finally did a tare down the only comment from the builder was "they looked a little stressed". That's a lot of abuse that IMO most cars will never see.

Thanks again .
I know ford racing sells OPG (just like TSS/MMR/boundary ) but not sure they would be a replacement for the one in the GT 500 pump since they are larger .
If they do , do you have link ?

If it fits the 5.0/Voodoo, it will NOT work in the 2020 GT500. They will physically fit but the oil pump gears are .080" thicker in the GT500. You'll most likely bleed off quite a bit of oil in this gap and the gears will not stay aligned.
Thanks man .
Would you feel confident with the gears that come with the pump ?
Not planning to make more than 900-1000 hp with my new block .
I know GT 500’s are making north of 1000 hp with them but some also make that power with the stock GT pump gears...... for a while .
