Thanks .People have run stock gears while making 1100whp and they have been fine. Unless you're doing a teardown I don't see any reason to upgrade.
Thanks again .FP sells upgraded gears if you want them. If youre already assembling it I'd upgrade "just to be safe" but I have no plans to do them with no need on my car, even if I was pushing 800+. Sure some brake, but there is also a guy on YT that had gone over 20,000 miles on this, with MANY 8 second track passes and making over 1100whp, and when he finally did a tare down the only comment from the builder was "they looked a little stressed". That's a lot of abuse that IMO most cars will never see.
I saw mmr gears say they fit the gt500 pump might have to call and askThis is the one Ford racing sells
Fits the 5.0/5.2 pump but does not say it will work with the GT 500 pump .

I don’t see it on the list of parts for the 2020 GT 500 .
May be the older ones ?
The ones they sell for the S550 only says 15-17 MustangGT and GT350.
I know the same pump used in GT350 is used in 18+ Mustang GT.

If it fits the 5.0/Voodoo, it will NOT work in the 2020 GT500. They will physically fit but the oil pump gears are .080" thicker in the GT500. You'll most likely bleed off quite a bit of oil in this gap and the gears will not stay aligned.http://www.modularmotorsportsracing...e=product_info&cPath=4_30_57&products_id=1064
and this one says it also fits the gt500 the same partnumber 400224 is used in this kit
Thanks man .If it fits the 5.0/Voodoo, it will NOT work in the 2020 GT500. They will physically fit but the oil pump gears are .080" thicker in the GT500. You'll most likely bleed off quite a bit of oil in this gap and the gears will not stay aligned.
