Not sure the exact distance- but yes we have had other R owners get pebbles stuck and scratch the ceramic coating- we use Spyder Composites which is an approved repair facility for the wheels- last time I saw they would repair scratches from pebbles stuck between caliper and wheel barrel for about $500 - from the reviews everyone has been very pleased with the resultsJust curious Brent, what is the clearance between the caliper and the front wheel on your vehicle? In any event, I hope you have continued success on the OEM wheels/tires.
I had about 3/16" and already had caliper marks from a couple rocks that fortunately, did not cut the CF barrel. If you have a good bit more clearance, that's a seriously good thing. I got tired of worrying about them and honestly, I prefer light-colored wheels over black.
Good news is you can add the back seat pretty easily and keep the seat delete for when the kids cats and the cradle.Update dealer called and agreed to another 3k on my base trade 88k, so my base and 21k. Problem now is my Wife is saying absolutely no due to no back seat in the CFTP![]()
