Ok how many of you find yourself doing things on your newer Mustang that you used to do on your old Mustang.

Example: 2005 Ford Mustang had five gears and reverse.
Now when I go to shift into reverse on my 2017
I find myself in 6th gear.

Oh yeah funny when I first got into the car - muscle memory
looking to insert the key to start the car.

This is my first Mustang so I can't relate. My '02 Camaro SS and 2013 Scion FR-S were both 6-speeds in the same layout with reverse being to the left and up.

When I get into my Mazda 6, my foot reaches down for a clutch that's not there. One of those "hey dummy" moments.

My RX-8 S2 was push down and left forward for reverse. I adapt quiet quickly.

I drive my companyvan more than my GT. So often when I park the car I have my right hand behind up behind the wheel to turn the key. Just another excuse to drive the Mustang more. Don't even have 2k miles in it.

I had gotten in the habit of losing races. Now, I got more HP and torque, so that old habit died quick. lol jk

The keyless got me the most.

My old 96 GT 5 speed I had to hold shifter in 2nd until clutch was fully engaged or it would pop out. I find myself still unconsciously pulling slightly back when engaging 2nd still.

Mine isn't mustang related, but the wipers annoy me. My wife's explorer they're a twist and there's a twist for the rear and the intermittent is different, and the single swipe is a side button on the handle. In my Tacoma the handle goes UP for a single swipe and the intermittent dial is down for fast, up for slow. In the mustang the single swipe is DOWN and the intermittent is up for fast, down for slow.

Drive me nuts. I'm in all of them at some point almost every week.

I have a similar issue with wiper stalk convention muscle memory between my Honda Pilot and the Stang!

I got into a habit of not being tagged in stupid facebook posts until I got a Mustang.

Wow, you are old!

I feel your pain, my first car was a 73 240z
Talk about light years of improvements!

I rented an Audi Q3 this weekend, it had a key, I was confused.

Fortunately my old '68 Mustang was a 3 speed so it was straight forward for reverse on it so getting the new Mustang into reverse isn't a problem. What I do find myself doing is trying to depress a non-existent clutch pedal on my Honda Accord/CR-V when I drive them after driving the Mustang.
