So recently I’ve had some work done to my car, vct solenoids replaced, opg and cs, twin disc clutch and valve cover gasket replaced when vct solenoids were replaced. I was going under the car to put mmr block braces on and noticed some oil or some fluid on the driver side going as high to the headers and as low to the top of the oil pan and on the front of the trans. Just curious if anyone has had something like this happen or know what it could be.

Run your hand under the bottom edge of that valve cover. Valve cover leak is likely.

The valve cover leaks is well known and was only on the 15-17’s due to Ford (for whatever reason) not using ALL available securing locations on the valve covers…

These docs should help with valve cover R&R; note they are for a 2015 Coyote 5.0, but the basic principle and job is the same across the Coyote variants.

Instructions for L & R valve cover R&R:

Also check the oil pressure sensor that is located on that side of the engine block. It was also another common area of leak/seepage problems. If the sensor is not properly tightened it eventually vibes loose and will leak

Hello; A question I would want to answer is the oil from a leak or perhaps a result of the recent work done. By that I mean is it a one time spill or leak which happened during the work and has stopped or is it continuing.
I have not had the rocker arm covers off a newer Ford so do not know what sort of gasket is involved. On some later model vehicles there is what amounts to an O-ring sort of rubber gasket.

As is the norm Cobra Jet is on top of the technical answers.

What I would do is get the car on a lift and brake kleen it to death at all the leak spots. Run the car a few days and check it over closely. It may be spilled oil left over from the recent job. Worst case scenario it may be leaking valve cover gaskets, oil pan, or rear crank seal. Once you get everything cleaned up the oil leak will rear its ugly head and show exactly where it's coming from.
