Oil Change message

My warning came on around 2000 miles, dealer told me it should have been 'reset in the factory'. I just reset via the wheel buttons.

mine came on this morning rang dealer tried to blag free warranty oil and filter change having none of it just reset it :(

i aint driving all the way to sheffield for them to do it so i'll do it when I get back to car tonight. may change oil and filter this weekend anyway.

Its a two hour drive to the Inverness dealer that's why I have not had my puddle lights sorted & had them send me the double sided tape when the number plate fell off.

So my warning came on this morning, I've had the car 7 months and 6k miles but changed oil myself after ~1k and reset so a bit confused:shrug: My driving style is pretty normal I would say

can't remember right now how to get into oil life thing so will check later

My warning has come on, it's at 5% oil life, my car is booked in for the 18th April to have it's service done, 1 year and 2 days after I picked it up, which makes the oil life indicator pretty much spot on for 1 year. The message does appear however everytime I turn my car on... And my fuels at <50miles to E so keep having to double press Ok after getting in the car lol!

It's a year timer, which can go down due to driving style.

Easy to reset yourself.

Do it yourself. Don't waste your time going to the dealers. You can have it reset in seconds. Just go through the menu you will find it

Despite having the car serviced at Evans 'Fucking Useless' Halshaw a couple of weeks ago, their attention to detail was so good, they want their customers to be 'involved', so leave the oil life to be re-set by the customer :frusty::frusty:

My oil change message is coming on everytime I start the car, it's got it's service April 18th, and it's on 5% last time I checked, pretty much gonna hit 0 when I get to the dealer lol!

Just back from having mine serviced at M&D Perth. There's a checkbox on the service sheet for resetting the oil service indicator too. Not like they need to remember.
